King of the Ga Called Imposter, International Conman

He certainly has a Kingly name. Nii Guate Asuasa Ekasee Ako II. Sounds pretty damn official, if you ask me. But despite the claims of Easton Mayor Sal Panto, Jr., who was after all a history teacher back in the day, Ako II's Kingliness is being disputed again.

According to Sheikh Mustapha Watson-Quartey, Nii Ako II is only the High Priest, damn it, not the King.
Nii Guate Asuasa Ekasei Ako II is an imposter, a jester, a pathological liar and a conman who has abandoned his post as the Gua Wolomo (High Priest) for the past four years since his enstoolment. please stay tune for more information and revelations on this notorious International Conman called Nii Guate Asuasa Ekasei Ako II: “so-called King of the Ga People of Ghana”.
So who's the real King of the Ga?

You never know.

  1. no wonder sal can't get a building condemned or back taxes paid. He is too busy making a fool of himself. what's next the queen of sheba?

go ahead and run for norco exec. Callahan will have a field day with the lack of accomplishment, commuter taxes, and the boy who would be king.

  2. Perhaps a bit off topic ...

... but after sharing this piece with my football buddies in Ghana today ...

... they tell me that the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency JOHN EVANS ATTA MILLS, has passed away.

  3. Now now Mark, there you go againhiding behind some fictitious name. To understand the whole process of royalty in Ghana you would have to be willing to learn about the facts before you speak.

Nii Guate is a fine young man and regardless of his title he is a polite and considerate young man with a true affection for the people who kept him on the staright and narrow during his formative years here in Palmer and Easton.

More importantly, the hundreds of people he re-co0mmedted with during his visit were deeply appreciative of his visit and care genuinely for him. And they don't care what you think.

And yes ironpigpen, Nii Guate called me today to give me the sad news of the passing of Ghana's President.

  5. Jeez Sal, give it up already. Admit you were conned and move on.

I have to think there's more important issues you should be dealing with.

  6. Will the mayor or representative attend the funeral? Sal is simply communing with C.W. Cattell and other famous Eastonian forward thinkers who saw Easton as a potential international crossroads. Easton was once considered for home to the United Nations, but fell flat on airport and infrastructure requirements. I think they built The Hubcap Store instead.

May the soul of President Mills rest in peace. Perhaps we can move his grave here like Jim Thorpe? Commuters would pay big taxes to visit.

  8. Did Sal really post that comment? What is with our local mayors and their poor spelling and grammar. And he was an educator?

  10. This was really weird. Sal, the kid made a fool out of you. You both parading up the street like some kind of clown parade.

The costumes and eye makeup was the big tip off.

My fear is if you ran the entire county, you might sell it to a Nigerian Prince who just won the lottery but needed collateral.

  12. I have deleted three comments posted by "Mark Baker" that are personal attacks at Sal Panto or complain about being deleted. My comment policy is clear. I encourage anonymous comments. I''m willing to tolerate some shots at an elected official. But I will not tolerate repeated personal attacks posted by some asshole who lacks the courage to identify himself.

  13. Bernie, what all this showes is that Sal is a hothead and may not have the temperment for elected office.

  14. No, what this shows is that Sal is transparent and accountable and is more than willing to defend himself and his policies. Inviting someone to sit down and talk to him makes him a hothead? Please. If you want to attack the guy, you should at least have the guts to identify yourself.

@3:50, I agree, enstoolment sounds painful, unsanitary, and generally contrary to nature's intention for healthy elimination on a regular basis.

Yes, I really posted the comment with the typos. And yes I make no excuse for my keyboard skills although they are getting better. I unfortunately never had typing -- or now keyboarding -- in high school.

Theeese are typoo errrors adnn not speling erors. Donit look like typos that yous see.

Sorry I just wanted to have some fun with the comment.

As for the other comment, sure some say I am a hothead. I am not. I believe strongly in someone's ability to have an opinion. I agree that people should be allowed to express their opinion. But common courtesy says that you should base your opinions on facts and have the courage to place your name on your post. But one thing is for sure - I am never disagreeable. Mt political policy is simple -- you can disagree but don't be disagreeable.

  18. As for Nii Guate, the naysayers can call him what they like. To me and many many people in the area, he is a fine young man trying to make a difference in his country. He wants Ghana to have elections free from any threats or violence. He wants his country to have elections like he saw in the United States when he lived here.

John Quartey didn't dupe anyone. He cam to say thank you to the people who had a positive impact on his life during his formative years. If and when we run a trip to Ghana maybe the naysayers could send a representative to get the truth.

Lastly, all of this talk about county exec is just that - talk. I have not made a decision because until people approached me earlier this year I never gave it a thought. I will think about it but the city is my priority and always has been. I thank the people who are encouraging me toi run and I am humbled by the great amount of support. But that decision will be based on a lot of things and as I said in the past it won't be made until later this year.

  19. I know a guy who isn't bragging about a "great amount of support" and he is running for all the "right" reasons.

  20. Good. Please, no city mayors. The county has enough problems.

  21. Nice picture and the depiction of this person, just wondering there was a child stolen from its native country by a local church organization. Did his honor the king help manipulate this henous act to sell it in america on his trip with the organization. This could be the money producer for the brown mudhole of center city one?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
