Lehigh County GOP Goes After Muslim Vote

Over the last 12 months, the Lehigh County GOP has been catching up on its sleep. A Primary Election came and went with absolutely no effort to help candidates with poll workers or little things like that. But it's finally decided to engage in voter outreach.

Will it go after Latino voters, who make up 18.8% of the County's population? Or how about black voters, at 6.1%.

Nah.

That's too obvious. Instead, the local party is making a play for Lehigh County's Muslim voters.

All three of them.

Executive Director Bob Toth has sent this epistle to elected officials and candidates.
The Muslim Association of the Lehigh Valley will have an event to start the holy month of Ramadan on Thursday July, 26. This will be a great opportunity for you to reach out to Muslim voters in the Lehigh Valley. The event will begin at 7:15 pm and dinner will be served at 8:30.(Dinner must be served later than normal because according to Islamic tradition, one can not eat while the sun is up).
The Muslim Association will send out an invitation to the LCRC Office and when I receive it, I will scan it and send it out to you. Spouses/dates are welcome to attend as well. I do not know what the cost to attend is at this time, or if there will be a donation required or not.

For now, please save the date and let me know by June 1st if you plan on attending.

This event will be at the Muslim Association of Lehigh Valley ( MALV)
1988 Schadt Ave
Whitehall, PA 18052

They will also host a candidates' night on a date to be determined in August.

Thanks!

Sincerely,

Bob Toth

  1. LOL too bad for Bob Toth that most real life Republican voters think the US is in the middle of a Holy War against Islam.

  4. Maybe Valley wide the Latino population may be small but in Allentown it is nearly 50%. Shouldn't Toth be trying to capture that vote?

  5. Here's a link to the transcript of the cockpit voice recorder from flight 93, just seconds before it was crashed by guys who repeated they were killing those innocent souls in "the name of allah, the most merciful."

It would be nice for this bunch to finally decry the actions of those who murdered my friend's daughter that horrible day. In the mean time, perhaps they will comment on the legalization of female clitoridectomy in Egypt and Algeria and other forward thinking Muslim countries in the wake of the Arab Spring. Some Spring. It's difficult to avoid broad brush strokes when gangs like this remain silent about those murdering in the name of their "most compassionate" whatever. I know Rs tend toward religious nuts, but this is absurd.

  14. Dances On The Graves Of Dead Guys cannot possibly know what he is talking about.

The Republicans are currently engaged in an all-out war on women, when they are not too busy poisoning the air and water to kill all elderly and children, that is.

Their schedule is so overbooked at the moment, they have no meaningful time for Holy War.
