funny
What doesn't make sense about this issue is all the current development along the zinc mine region in UST. Isn't that the issue with the proposed bank complex that was cancelled?
ReplyDeleteThe owner is identified as Saucon Creek Road LP. The project was at southeast corner of Center Valley Parkway and Saucon Creek Road. There was a bank, too, and that is mentioned in my post.
ReplyDeleteBernie
ReplyDeleteThanks for location. Plans call for construction along that entire open expanse of land to be owned by Lehigh. Will that be on zinc mines too?
Saucon Creek Road LP. Yes, but who are these people?
ReplyDeleteCan't answer that without doing more research. i know a New Jersey Co., Marquis Realty Holding Company, L.l.c., is listed as the general partner.

ReplyDeleteTo the extent that it is atop the mine shafts, it will have a rough time developing.
Abe will buy it. This sounds like an excellent place for his drug and prisoners establishments.
ReplyDeleteBetter yet let's make it a home for crooked pols and developers. I'm sure we would run out of space quickly.
The project (bank, daycare) was to go directly on top of a main shaft of the mine. The shaft was as little as 60 feet below the surface. Technically speaking... there were a lot of technical issues involved in the decision including drainage to the aquifer. Most of the former "Stabler" property is not subject to being directly above a main shaft that is near the surface. Perhaps, this blurb slightly clarifies some facts.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention...I cannot fathom why the applicant spent so much (legal cost) money pursuing an obviously lost cause. There should be no doubt that chasing the almighty dollar was at the core so why was so much spent pursuing a lost cause. The agreement of sale must have been for a very low relative dollar amount to justify spending so much (legal cost) money chasing something with little odds of sccess. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your knowledge of this issue.
ReplyDeleteThe use was actually before the Board of Supervisors as a Conditional Use.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. it was actually the BOS and not the ZHB. I will make the change.
ReplyDeleteNow these smart developers want to infect small children with god only knows what chemicals are so close to the surface. JB is the developer for palumpashitskies palace o sport with connections to lehighvalleyhealthnetworks. Maybe devolopment of this property is a health risk to the public
ReplyDeleteJust think money made from development than also health care money to be made.
Were do I by the bonds, this one sounds beter than the palace o sport. LMFAO
Put the County Prison in the Mine!
