Jackson Eaton Campaign Files For Congress
I do not have figures for Daugherty.
Either Daugherty or Eaton will face incumbent Charlie Dent in the Fall. No Republican has challenged him.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
So Callahan wussed out.
ReplyDeletejc got his butt handed to him on a platter. these 2 wannabees don't stand a chance either
ReplyDeleteLMAO!....yes "wussed out". It's called a logical decision.
ReplyDeleteHave you looked at the electoral map? I for one don't see any sense in spending the time and energy needed to raise millions of dollars to go against a well heeled incumbant.
There is plenty of other opportunity out there to truly make a difference on both the local and national level.
Seamus
It's the decision John Callahan, with all due respect, should have made two years ago. Dent is a formidable opponent and believes there are only two ways to campaign - hard or unopposed.
ReplyDeleteYou know, not really pertinent to this post exactly is that Charlie Dent may have some problems in his future.
ReplyDeleteHe'll be just fine this time, I think, and neither of these two D's should even bother to show up, but I think the new district is a problem to Charlie because he's vulnerable to a challenge from the right out of Berks or Lebanon counties.
That's more of a problem for next election than the current one, but still not great for him. He's losing a lot of his loyal base with this move.
I'm voting for Charlie because he's the bestest guy ever. I know this because he tells me so every month with an inane, wasteful mailer. He's a true budget hawk with a dazzling smile.
ReplyDeleteSeamus, can't you get JC a job at AP? So are you placing credibility to the rumors of JC's recent trips to DC to find employment by talking about him and his role on the national stage? He doesn't seem to care at all about his current job as he doesn't even show up at Council meetings and he's allowing Wee Willy to run the show regarding the Controller position. Can you tell us then - are the rumors also true that he is going to run for County Exec. and if he doesn't win that job will be hoping that his years of taking it from JP will result in him being offered the job in January that JP is leaving at that time?
