Vivian Zumas Apointed to Hanover Tp Planning Comm'n

Hanover Township Supervisors, at their January 10 meeting, unanimously appointed Bethlehem Attorney Vivian Zumas to their Planning Commission. Immediately after the appointment, Chairman John congratulated her, telling her that three Supervisors have had experience serving as Planners, "some of us very long ago."

"Don't look at me!" wisecracked Steve Salvesen, who has served on the Planning Commission, and for the last 29 years, as a Township Supervisor.

Asked whether she is related to prominent local lawyer Nick Zumas, Vivian answered, "I'm related to all the Zumas'."

A former Assistant DA in Northampton County, Zumas graduated from Widener University School of Law in 2000.

Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics.
