Scott Parsons' Civility

During Tuesday night's Debate at the Slate, Scott Parsons billed himself as the voice of civility, a person who could work with others. Ron Angle, on the other hand, is out of control.

But during their debate, it is Parsons who lost control for a time when Angle dared to respond to a direct question. Here's that exchange.

Even the Moderator had to tell Scott that Angle was not out of control.

Later in the night, at the close of the debate, the voice of civility derided Angle with a personal attack having nothing to do with County issues. It amazes me that people who express such disdain for Angle's tactics are willing to use them themselves. I think their real problem is that they hate that a guy from the northern end of the Slate Belt can be so damn effective.

Here's Parsons, getting personal.

  2. This is your best piece yet Bernie. Trying to attack someone as less "civil" than Ron Angle is a hoot. And I even support Ron.

Lets be honest, Ron is a miserable bastard that treats anyone who disagrees with him like shit. Even Dick Morris couldn't change that reality. Fortunately, I agree with most of his positions.

  3. He believes in the judicial system but yet at a recent county council meeting said he did not care what a judge said he only cared about district 4 where he owns
    His property!

  4. Scott Parsons is the Admiral Stockdale of the Slate Belt. He really doesn't know what he's doing there. Somebody please make sure he gets home safely.

  9. Scott Parsons is a decent hardworking man. The attempts by the likes of Bernie O'Hare to ruin his reputation speaks to the low life O'Hare is and who he represents.

  10. Explain how Scott Parsons demonstrates his civility by engaging in the very behavior he claims to find so offensive.

  11. Even a gentleman has to defend himself when he is the snake pit with Angle. it was obvious the debate was a Republican setup.

The moderator served up Angle softballs and refused to ask questions from the people.

Considering the situation and the vile creature Angle who wouldn't shut-up or be controlled by the rules, Scott was amazingly composed.

Vote Parsons, vote civility vote decency. Time for Angle to really go shovel the bullshit on his farm and not on county council.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
