Is Scott Parsons a Secret Angle Supporter?

At last week's Debate at the Slate pitting Scott Parsons against the Northampton County Bulldog, Parsons gave voters every reason to choose Ron Angle on Election Day. In Parson's own words, Angle has both the experience and the time, while Parsons does not. In Parson's own words, Angle has held the line on taxes, while Wind Gap Borough - where he serves as Council President - has seen eight straight years of tax hikes. In his own words, those increases are necessary because "you gotta' give people money." Finally, Parsons has no experience, but has "a lot of people who have helped me." Those people are public sector unions looking to get some "bang" for their buck.

These are just some of the video highlights.

"To run this government, to do the job, there's no question he [Angle] has the experience. There's no doubt about the experience ... .

"What he's done - no taxes - I wish in the Borough of Wind Gap. We raised taxes every year for eight years.

"The man spends a lot of time. I'll give him that credit. He can spend a lot more time than I'm gonna' have ... .

"I might not have the experience. I have a lot of people who have helped me and are backing me to do this ...

"I cannot explain the budget in Northampton County. I'm not up on that right now ... .

"You gotta' give people money. You gotta' give people services for what they want. You want bang for your buck ... .

"PAC money from unions is one $1,000 check from a PAC, and there were two - one $500 check and two $250 checks. So there's $2,000 that came from PAC money."

  1. Sounds like a gentleman and a reasonable, decent man. A refreshing change from Ron angle.

  2. Parsons does seem like a nice guy, and I appreciate his honesty. By his own admission, he does not have the time or experience. He is unprepared and has not even looked at the budget. He is backed by public sector unions. He believes Angle works harder, is more experienced and has held the line on taxes.

  3. Budgetary knowledge. A canard. It matters not what Parsons knows about the current years budget. He like anyone else can examine revenues and proposed expenditures. You seem to suggest that the only way to salvation is through the man who defrauds his friends. When he defeats Angle and takes office in January he will be dealing with a budget over which Parsons had absolutely no control. To opined in detail would ne a useless exercise. Only the current Council has the power to act. He will inherit the mess.

The world will not end if a 1 mill tax increase occurs. You know it and so does your mentor. But your miscreant doesn't have the political courage to say it.

  4. Probably the only real power a County Council or Board of Commissioners has is in reviewing the budget. The fact that Parsons attends no meetings and has not even glanced at the County budget is just an abdication of the role he supposedly covets. Your attempt to justify this ignorance is just a reflection of your disdain for Angle.

  5. Spoken like someone who obviously has a job with a fat paycheck or is not trying to live on Social Security. Right before Stoffa was elected our taxes went up 63%. I remember then the arguement was it's not going to hurt anyone. WRONG!

  6. He's Admiral Stockdale.

  7. Did you mean to say that Ron Angle is Benny Hill's evil twin?

  8. Angle took money from the illegal alien jail people, Atiyah and tony Ianelli.

That about sums up his pay to play lifestyle.

    Vote Parsons

  10. Ron Angle does look like Benny Hill. Loved that show.

  11. Well, Parsons should be better prepared before a debate. The proposed 2012 budget has been on the county's website for over two weeks. The least the guy could do is read it. Parsons is a political pawn of the Gracedale Goons. He screwed up little Pen Argyl and will be a know-nothing foulup on county council as well if elected.

  12. Bill White has a Ron Angle pic that he runs, now and again, in which Ron definitely looks like Benny Hill.

  13. 6:22

I think he is on the Wind Gap council.
By all accounts from people in Wind Gap that I know and have questioned I don't think he is anyones pawn.

You use the term "know nothing foulup" as though you are quite familiar with it?

  14. Parsons is a member of Wind Gap Council, but lived many years in Pen Argyl. The Anon obviously knows him.

  15. Parsons did not ake a check from a prison group and then try to push the idea through council..Parsons did not produce a fake will in order to cheat his sister out of a lousy 5% of the estate that she is entitled to. And yes, Parsons does not support the privatization of Gracedale..Alo, before i forget, Parsons did not get tossed from his presidency of Council as did Angle, by his own party, due to his shenanigans..So, I believe what Parsons was trying to say is that Angle doesn't do a bad job, but Angle is a character with no character..

  16. No, Parsons took money from public sector unions and is trying to push their ideas. He admits that Angle is the better candidate - more experienced, more efficient with taxpayer money, more willing to take the time that the job demands. All you have are slurs, while pretending to be all about civility.

  17. Angle has made a career of needless irrelevant and vicious personal attacks against all who have the temerity to oppose him. To criticize anyone for merely pointing out this FACT is absurd. You cry foul in order to deflect the facts. Angle has a lengthy history of conduct that deserves to be pointed out to the voters as it is clearly relevant to the privilege of holding elective office.

Angle has made civility and honesty an issue by his very own conduct which you choose to ignore.

  18. Angle is more appealing to the Superior Court (2 or 3 pending at the moment) than the voters of District 4. It's time to cleanse the Stygian stables and rid this cancer upon the body politic.

Oh yes you never got back to us on that violation of the Sunshine Act and surcharge thingiedls you conveniently ignore. Is truth a defense to a defamation action? I see that's a personal attack not relevant for a voter to consider.

  19. There they go again. They want to restore "civility," but think nothing of calling Angle a "cancer." They also mention surcharges that have been thrown out of court. I have no idea what Sunshine Act was supposedly violated by Angle, but the action of D'Alessandro, featured above, is a clear one.

It appears to me that your real problem with Angle is that he casts a very public spotlight on your attempt to use County government to perpetuate a system that is breaking the backs of taxpayers.

  20. Then why does Angle allow millions of unrequired tax dollars be spent in other areas of Human Services. Maybe he should be promoting the outsourceing of positions like Lehigh County is doing.

The people knew the truth of Gracedale and that irritates the Hell out of you three.

  21. Scott is no Angle supporter but they don't call you Angle's jock strap for nothing O'Hare.
