Gracedale Initiative Failed in Just One County Precinct

Guess where?

If you guessed it was in the Slate Belt, you're right.

If you guessed it was in Upper Mount Bethel Tp, where the Northampton County Bulldog lives, you're right again.

If you guessed it is Ron Angle's home district, you're right. In that Upper Mount Bethel Township district, the Gracedale initiative was a 33-33 tie. That's the only place where it failed.

In Ron Angle's district overall, the initiative passed with 73.68% of the vote. That's actually slightly higher than the County average of 72.67%.

  5. Don't think the people there are any different. I'm sure there are union people there as much the township that most supported keepin Gracedale in County hands. Ron Angle, whether you love or hate him, lives and breathes local politics and drives all around his township constantly talking to his constituents/// so his township was probably the most educated on the subject. The rest of the townships will soon catch up to speed as the issue of how to fund Gracedale now turns into a world class clusterf*** only it will be too late.

  6. Hmmmmm 33-33 tie. Morning Call for Upper Mount Bethel had 652 votes for Upper Mount Bethel. Are you saying that only 66 people voted on the referendum. If that is so, guess there should have been a representative at that poll to let the voters know where the question was and explain the wording. Maybe then it would have been 66 - 0. Remember Bernie.....overall votes according to the Morning Call 21,049 voted YES 7878 voted NO, if 66 total votes is what you are saying then 33 is a total drop in the bucket! I am sure Ron has 33 friends in Upper Mount Bethel. Again your words "Ron Angle's district overall, the initiative passed with 73.68% of the vote. THAT'S SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN THE COUNTY AVERAGE OF 72.67%." So let us know, does Ron get it yet!!!

  8. DJ, Are you so much of an idiot that you don't realize that Upper Mount Bethel has several polling precincts?

  9. "Bernie....how many people voted in that district?"

In Angle's District (Region 4), there were 7,432 votes on the initiative. It was supported by 5,476 voters, or 73.68%. That is slightly higher than the percentage county-wide (72.67%).

In his own precinct, however, it was a 33-33 tie. It is the only precinct, county wide, where the initiative failed.

  10. anon 7:47, so what you are saying is Ron Angle had more opportunities to sell the Angle/Stoffa bullshit and did a better job of confusing his fiction with the facts in his district.

He is a clown as are his clown posse supporters. Ron Angle the original goon and thug of local politics.

  11. I firmly believe that all who cast "yes" for gracedale are not property taxpaying citizens, but survive off of some form of welfare (and there are many) be it SSI, SSD, workers comp, law suit winners, welfare , section 8, workers comp, foster home income, etc.

It was a war started by the "have nots" to destroy the personal wealth of the "haves" and to spread the wealth around to empower the poor and lazy. It had nothing to do with gracedale at all.

  12. More than half of the country's workers pay no federal income tax. Gummint workers are too many in number, and on an unsustainable compensation structure they get in a labor equation where the help elects it's boss. There are too many takers and too few producers. The takers now outnumber the producers and we end up with more losers on labor-welfare at places like Gracedale. And the beat goes on.

  13. B O, do you think maybe most of those votes came from the Tuscorura group, they always vote and vote as one they even recieve palm cards to instruct them who to vote for. Hmmm i think maybe just maybe that most of those 33 votes are from them!!!

  16. I think in the fall you will refer to this as a tie, when Ron loses the rest of the Slatebelt.
