See You Tuesday ... I Hope.

It hit me yesterday morning. A really brutal case of food poisoning. I hope it lasts no longer than a day.

  3. I hope you feel better. One time, I was hit with really brutal food poisoning. True, sometimes it lasts a day or two, but please check with your doctor. Sometimes the effects can last a while, and you don't even connect them with the food poisoning. If possible, drink a lot of water. See a doctor.

  5. Bernie,

I also hope that you feel better. I know from past experience that food poisoning is a horrible thing to go through. As Karen Dolan stated; make sure you stay hydrated.

I can't wait for your next blog!

  9. The purple Pedialyte always helped me keep hydrated when I occur food poisoning or dehydration. That stuff is a God-send.

    I hope you feel better.

  10. Stay hydrated if you can with fluid in small doses. If it persists for more than a day see your PCP. Wouldn't wish that on anyone.

  11. Hope you won't need any rehab. You would have to go to Gracedale!!!

After getting a beating from the Gracedale Goons, I think you are simply looking for sympathy. Never had the good fortune to have food poisoning. Hope you heal quickly

  14. Bernie, if the symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea persist, the best treatment is some homeopathic arsenicum -- you can get it at Wegmans or Queens in bethlehem, or Frey's in Hellertown. It works like "magic" -- I have used it on two different bouts of similar malady. Take care of yourself!

  16. The wonder diet:
Put together a creamed chicken casserole while multitasking around the house. Pay no attention to how long you cook it. cover the leftovers, and let them sit for 1 week in the fridge.

    Reheat, and wa-LA!

Take up residency in your bathroom for days, make sure your phone is within reach

12 lbs lost, a true miracle! Should I market this online?

  17. Bernie,

You're an awful person, in Angle's and Stoffa's pockets, and deserve to retch in your bathroom for weeks on end.

Sorry, all these people being nice to you were throwing off my equilibrium!

    Be well.

  18. Chris, Karen, Al, Tony, Brenda, Carol, Fr. Alex, Banker, c, Battle Cry, and the anons, thanks very much for the nice wishes.

I rarely get ill like I did this weekend. But I'm actually starting to feel better after spending the last two days in agony.

I thank you for the nice wishes and will be back in action tomorrow.

  19. Had no idea about the arsenic and thought you were kidding, but it is conformed on google. I think I'll get some, although I hope I never go thru another bout of this.

  20. Maybe it was a bad dish of KARMA?

  21. Lick teabags. The tannic acid is good for your system.

  22. And I have been waiting for your comments on the latest arrest of the Fleckster!

  23. I can't slam him for being a scofflaw bc I am one, too. I get parking tickets all the time. But I don't blame my wife.

  24. The life and times of Flocking Fleck. Again, leading by example.
Perhaps he should have cut up the junk car and put it in the Auto Zone dumpster.
And blame it on the dog.

Seriously, don't you get about a dozen warnings and registered letters before the law comes knocking on your door to take you to see the Judge?

  25. Yes, It takes a real idiot to get parking tickets and ignore them. I know bc I have that problem. I am doing better these days. Where Fleck went wrong in my book is NOT in getting the tickets or ignoring them, but in blaming his wife. That's pretty low, precisely what I'd expect from the Fleckster.
