LV Health Comm'rs to Meet Tonight

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.

ReplyDeleteThere's got to be something we don't know about to explain why this group continues to push forward, even when so many are opposed.

ReplyDeleteWhat. No comment on last night's Lesley and Ed Show?
Please will someone put this thing out of its misery and vote NO on tonite!
ReplyDeleteEven if Gracedale sells, whatever profits are made need to go to paying off bills, put back discontinued services, give laid off workers their jobs back, give people tax breaks and put money back into the rainy day fund.
For those in Lehigh county who are facing a 16% increase in taxes and cuts in services, this is an insult to them creating a new, unnecessary level of government that already exist by the cities and state.
Hopefully those in the councils will get some common sense and dollar sense and stop this thing.
". No comment on last night's Lesley and Ed Show?"
ReplyDeleteEverybody gets worked up about that, but I love it. I also like the wussie remark.
Politicians aren't supposed to talk that way. Why not? It's honest. I like it. It's like the rest of us. I've has enough with the careful remarks.
Don't forget. I like Angle.
Politicians whose DOTs have left hundreds of motorists stranded on snow closed highways and who get limo service to their heated luxury boxes shouldn't deign to lecture on public safety issues related to weather. What an asshole.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely. But I think Rendell is at his best when he ignores his handlers and says what he thinks. I wish he did it more often.
ReplyDeleteHow many citizens usually show up to these sorts of meetings?
ReplyDeleteSo ... Rendell is at his best when off script, being an asshole.
ReplyDeleteDon't know about being at his best, but that's when he most interesting - like a bus crash.
"How many citizens usually show up to these sorts of meetings?"
ReplyDeleteIt's usually just special interests.

ReplyDeleteWe couldn't make this stuff up.
"The Prince George's County Council is spending $10,000 to $15,000 for a two-night retreat on the Eastern Shore this week.
Ingrid Turner, chairwoman of the County Council, said she chose to spend more money on this year's retreat, even as the county faces a $77 million shortfall next fiscal year, to help council members avoid distractions."

I hear they have still allowed this monster to survive. John Stoffa who is selling off Northampton County seniors actually applauded the effort of a new multi-million dollar non-mandated bureaucracy dedicated to employing hundreds of new public tit suckers.
ReplyDeleteIt would be amazing if it wasn't classic Stoffa who was doing this. When will this boondoggle die. If public health is important the private sector will and can do it better. Nough said!!
