Dietrich Flip Flops On Gracedale

After touring three public-turned-private nursing homes in August, Northampton County Council member Tom Dietrich came out in favor of privatization. "The people who bought these facilities are in the business of running a nursing home," he said. "We're in the business of running a government. It's time for Gracedale to get rid of the County."

That was then.

Now, in addition to voting to oust Ron Angle as Northampton County Council President, Dietrich has told several people he's suddenly flip-flopping on Gracedale. This may even be part of the secret deal.

Whatever the reason, this reduces County Council support for a sale to just five votes.

  1. Isn't Angle going to flip-flop too to save his political life?

  4. After Mr. Dietrich voted to oust Angle I felt relieved that some sanity weaved its way into the Council chambers..Now it appears to have stuck..Way to go Mr. Dietrich..Obviously you have been studying the issues..Good job..Most people come into public service with alot to learn and have to feel their way for awhile..
Just because you have done that doesnt make you a flip flopper..Close minded folks from both sides of the spectrum are the problem in Public Service...Bernie is just jealous because he's closed minded on Gracedale...His flips and flops on the health department have confused me but i'm glad to see he's learning there also..

growing their asses fat and juicy sitting on chairs at Gracedale
Forget it will cost me an extra 100
a year in taxes to support this
    toss all of them out
the workers and the patients and knock the building down
and sell some of this park land so I don't have to pay someone 30 bucks an hour to mow grass and mark time

  9. For the goof ball you make him out to be he must have the secret admiration of the ousted one. How did el presidente miss the bunt sign? Was his bloated ego in the way? Looks like he was dropped into into one of those spare body bags he likes to brag about for fallen opponents.

Apparently you have your marching orders. Destroy Dietrich at all costs.

Flip Flop? Ha. Can we say GEO boys and girls?

  10. How about liar? It should distrurb anyone to know that at least three members of that Council are incapable of keeping their word.

  11. "His flips and flops on the health department have confused me"

My position on public health has been consistent from the beginning. I support public health. I have found little to support in the plans offered by the LV Health Board, if you can call the that. I do not support the use of County tax dollars to pay for public health, at least not for the next three years.

  12. Ron didn't have them under oath when they mentioned they might support him. Morals don't count, if you don't like liars don't get into politics, and if you are a liar get into politics. A little cheese with your WHINE BO?

  13. Like Ron, I expect a little more from elected officials. You don't.

  14. Angle flip flopped on the GEO plans, and that is ok? How would this differ?

Oh yes one is your suck buddy, and the other is not!!

  15. Hold your head high Mr. Dietrich. To be hated by O'Hare puts you in good company. You are using your brain and common sense.

Don't be intimidated. This is another Angle temper tantrum, we have seen them his entire life. he is a bully and a hypocrite. he is also a coward so don't be the slightest bit intimidated by him.

You saw how the fickle tea party types attacked Cusick for being President. they demand complete loyalty, no deviation, no independent thought.

Vote your conscience and don't be afraid to learn and change.

You are already held in more respect then the other newly elected from 2009.

    Good Job.

  16. Locally I call for Ron Angle to have a mental health evaluation. He is exhibiting signs simular to the shooter. And if you think this is a joke you are wrong. No one acted on the shooters behalf, Ron seems to be unhinged lately, with the outbursts and vial name calling. These are the early signs.

  17. Now the real reason to sell Gracedale as told by Angle today (well actually Bernie). They cram 4 people in a room. THAT WAS SO THE OTHER DAY IN HERE. So he is now imagining himself in a humanitarian role.
Today I took my final 2 petitions down to Gracedale I had them notorized elsewhere so not as to offend Bernie. I can now reveal a few things. I have been outside the Wind Gap post office as many days as possible from 3 to 5 PM soliciting signatures. On average 30 a day dwindled to about 20 a day in recent weeks due to most people had already signed. I had about a dozen overall who refused to sign. I retain a blank petition for this weekend as I don't trust the fact the petitions are due on Monday however "they" whoever that is extended the day until Tuesday because of MLK. I suggested they get all they can in today even though they have more than enough. I know of at least 2000 more names that will be filed for Bernies approval. It seems that these are public documents and like all they can be copied for view for a small fee. Thus the scrutiny by BO and the former council president. Well good luck to all concerned. And to Bernie I will NEVER post in here again, AFTER Ron is fired by the people of NORCO. You can hasten that by having Ron do the right thing and resign. His bizarre antics and self important perception of himself is disturbing. There is a saying

The cemetarys are filled with men who thought themselves unreplacable.

I think Ron by todays newspaper article is one who believes this that he is our savior.

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM REALITY

  19. Nice speech you wrote fro Ron Angle, Bernie. The King's English isn't one of Ron's strong suits and it sounds more like he dictated his whine and you wrote in some of your whine.

I think it was a mistake for him to publish it. He comes off as a whiny little baby, a sore loser.

His accomplishments come with no credibility, as they are mostly in his head.

He sounds sad and pathetic. Like the "new" McCain, a bitter and angry old man swinging at the wind.

The only people who care anymore are you and the baggers.

  20. The must be wh you're here, at 8:30 on a Friday night, to tell me no one cares.

  22. Hang in there Tom. When you make the O'Hare hate list you are one step closer to human enlightenment and one step further away from Angle paranoia.

  23. It must be depressing to see that nobody cares enough to take the time to register in the "disgust" format. And speaking of depressing here is a song from the "Depression"
