"Allentown Good News," for example, is one of those puff blogs, launched by the Allentown Economic Development Corporation, that pretends everything is wonderful. "There's nothing to see here." I won't link to it because it is intended to deceive. It is no different than the astroturf blog set up by AT&T to combat net neutrality.
Until last night, I linked to an anonymous single-issue blog, Saving Private Gracedale. Over the weeks, I have watched as it has morphed from one that would "provide the residents of Northampton County information relating to the proposed sale of Gracedale by county council" to something that is increasingly dark and hateful.
It is now threatening a recall petition against Council members, has called Bruce Gilbert a liar, and has even reveled in unfortunate shoplifting charges recently brought against Ron Angle's son. Say what you will about Angle, but leave his son out of it. According to this "anonymous" blog, whose author is actually the Phony Preacher, "Ron Angle Jr. demonstarted [sic] yesterday that he will probably be just like his father. How deplorable!"
What's deplorable is to see a blog that was supposedly devoted to Gracedale perverted into a hate blog. Not only does it convict Ron, Jr., of a summary offense without a hearing, but it incredulously disparages him simply for being his father's son.
Over the weekend, another anonymous hate blog popped up called "Northampton County Watch Group." This one deceptively claims it has no agenda, when in reality it exists to bash Angle. "I have seen Angle destroy many things in his time as council member, and his continued destructive process only prevails because of a flaw in the system. Angle only prevails because of his minions that are on the county council," says the anonymous coward who publishes this blog. Do these sound like the words of someone with no agenda? Of course, the blog is full of anonymous comments bashing Angle.
Frankly, I believe that the Fake Reverend, who publishes the Gracedale blog, also publishes this one. I know this much. I have to take a shower when I'm done reading either one of them.
So they have learned well from you Mr. O'Hare. This blog set the bar for hate and propaganda. What you really hate are the real facts about Gracedale coming out.
ReplyDeleteThat is a shame for you and Angle.
ditto, ditto, ditto
ReplyDeleteIn all fairness, shouldn't the Allentown Economic Development Corporation blog feature good news and opportunities in Allentown? Its not a newspaper.
ReplyDeleteI wish you'd do the same thing with the Lehigh Valley Idependent. the left leaning tower of pisa.
ReplyDeleteArray of evil forces dedicated to the destruction of Chairman Ron has extended its evil tentacles across the river into New Jersey. Good God. Is there nothing these conspirators won't stoop to?
ReplyDelete"In all fairness, shouldn't the Allentown Economic Development Corporation blog feature good news and opportunities in Allentown? Its not a newspaper."
ReplyDeleteThat's my point. It's not a news source, but tries to act like one.
"I wish you'd do the same thing with the Lehigh Valley Idependent.:
ReplyDeleteHe's exactly what I want, another point of view. I have no problem with Jonathan. Yes, he sometimes gets testy, as do I, but tries to inform his reader, and generally keeps from getting personal. We also all know who he is. I like different points of view. It's the haters that make me sick.

ReplyDeleteThis is an oblique reference to the shoplifting charges filed against Ron's son over the weekend. Notice a few things. First, the comment is anonymous, meaning the coward posting it is afraid to identify himself. Second, it's irrelevant. What possible bearing does a shoplifting charge against Ron's son have on Northampton County? Third, it presumes the guilt of Ron's son. Fourth, it also presumes the guilt of Ron, visiting the "sins" of the son upon the father.
It's pretty sad to see his enemes use an unfortunate experience in his family life to try and tar and feather him. But make no mistake, this is pure hate.
Have we now decided we should pry into the family lives of elected officials and go into the possible misdeeds of their sons and daughters, even when it amounts to nothing more than a summary offense? If so there are many elected officials who will soon be getting out of the game bc I know several with similar difficulties.

ReplyDeleteI have deleted yet another Angle smear. You are free to do so on your hate blogs. It will be deleted here.
ReplyDeleteHave to agree that Ron's son is not an issue for discussion at this juncture in time. It is very unfortunate but a family issue that has no bearing on the local political landscape. We have plenty of other burning issues to debate. Joy to the world..
ReplyDeleteYou use a picture of Dietrich standing next to his son for a post dragging him through the mud, but you think it's unfair that Angle's son was mentioned.
ReplyDeleteSay what you want about Dietrich, but if fair is fair, then you should remove the picture of him with his son.
On a side note, I agree that what Angle's son does or does not do, has no impact on his governance of the county.

ReplyDeleteBernie, I have to agree about the photo with Tom Dietrich's son. It disturbed me. Tom's a big boy, but his son's image shouldn't be used that way, just as Ron's son shouldn't be an issue.

ReplyDeleteActually, what I used was a picture of him standing next to a "Stop Corporate Welfare" sign. I thought it highly relevant when considering that he is treating the contingency fund like a candy store.
The identity of the boy standing next to Dietrich was irrelevant and never mentioned until now. Dietrich himself posted that picture as his F/B profile. That is how he wants the world to view him, and I used that picture. If he was concerned about privacy, he should have used another picture.

ReplyDeleteI have deleted a comment asking me why I deleted someone. I deleted a comment submitted by one of the hate blogs. I told this blogger that nothing he posts here will be welcome. I have had enough of the hate and craziness.
