Some genius has just explained, over at Easton Patch, that the best way to save Gracedale is by selling it. Even if you disagree, that opinion piece is pure poetry. I'm disabling comments on this specific post, but recommend that you go to Patch and tell this wonderful writer what you think.
Incidentally, there are now 750 Patches nationwide, Locally, Salisbury launched Tuesday and Palmer-Forks went live yesterday.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. The Call and Express-Times on the contentious vote to accept a $56,000 grant for a fuel storage facility at Queen City Airport—which Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski has long coveted for development to add to the city’s tax rolls. The question: should the airport accept grant money that requires maintenance and repayment if the airport might get sold (in large part to cover the $26 million court bill the airport authority owes)?
Goldstein told authority members that private pilots who use Queen City get a sweetheart deal on fuel and hangar fees, and have kept airport administrators from focusing their attention on increasing commercial traffic at the main airport in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
Goldstein argued that new spending on Queen City is a ploy by supporters to make it more difficult to sell.
“They’re charging private pilots $1 less per gallon than they’re charging in Philadelphia, and the hangar fees amount to $9 per day to store a plane,” Goldstein said. “I find that interesting, when you consider the public pays $14 a day to park their car at the airport.”
Mr. Goldstein has a point, especially since the airport’s 210 prime acres house just 105 privately owned planes.
Call reporter Matt Assad quietly dropped an interesting fact into his story: Cindy Feinberg, authority board member and director of Lehigh County’s community and economic development, owns an airplane—presumably parked for $9 a day at Queen City. She voted to accept the grant.
Now, Feinberg is one of the good people: She’s smart. She’s competent. But this strikes me as a conflict of interest, especially if Feinberg—and fellow plane owner and board member Frank Kovacs—are feeding on the Queen City trough."
