You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Good debate. Dent has superior issue knowledge. Callahan reads everything which is distracting. Towne is bizarre. Pretty much the way we all thought this election would shake out. Dent by 10 points...at least.
ReplyDeleteCallahan won hands down. He asked folks if they are better off today than they were when they elected Dent.
ReplyDeleteThat answer will drive their votes.
Chalk up an easy win for Callahan. Dent sounded confused and looked lost.
the choice in this race is the lessor of evils. with all the half truths and negatives being thrown around dent and callahan it's now a tossup between towne and my dead grandmother
ReplyDeleteLSU.
ReplyDeleteBernie, go to Dent's house and curl up on his lap and he'll tell you all about it!

ReplyDeleteTHis should tell you all you need to know. Another bitter, desperate Callahan supporter. Callahan bombed all the debates. He is surprisingly bad at thinking on his feet...or maybe it is thinking for himself that he is terrible at.
Callahan whined like a little baby about Charlie Dent.
ReplyDeleteEven my daughter saw through him.
Dent was knowledgeable and kept his composure, I don't know if I would have been able to be so calm.
Towne held his own.
"Callahan whined like a little baby about Charlie Dent."
ReplyDeleteHe's whined and interrupted at all the debates. It is really embarassing.
Callahan would be lost without his notebook. You'd think by now he would not need to use the notebook - he should have his information down pat. Goes to show he is an empty suit that will vote in lock step with the Democratic leadership that has raised the debt by $8 trillion since Pelosi became SOH.
ReplyDelete"Callahan would be lost without his notebook."
ReplyDeleteHas to double check the "facts" as provided to him by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
The voters of the district have already lost this race. One's a death-obsessed war monger with lots of special interest money who feigns conservative fiscal values, but voted to bail out banks, many of which are magically reporting record profits now. Another is local hack who ran his well-heeled city's finances into the ground, can't form coherent sentences and has lots of special interest money. The third is an unelectable, Lerch-like libertarian caricature, whose flash card understanding of the philosophy ultimately demeans its legitimate points. A write-in vote for John Dillinger would be more constructive.
ReplyDeleteOf course Dent had information at his finger tips, he is an incumbent. If the questions were about local government Callahan would have had the edge hands down. Be that as it may Callahan was really good. I liked his poise, his honesty and charisma. He will make a fine Congressman and within 6 months will be further on the issues than Dent.

ReplyDeleteSeriously???? You have no clue what it means to be a legislator. Everyone goes into office thinking they are going to make a change. Well, maybe you failed social studies in HS because one person cannot make changes that quickly. It just doesn't happen like that. Get a clue and wise up. Charlie Dent is the only one qualified for this office. Callahan can't get his head out of local politics and Towne, well, I'll just be nice here and say he's way out of his league......
Callahan's poise and honesty?
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahahaha! That's a good one, and I did need a laugh.
