Five Years of Catholic Education
I had to laugh when I read Dat's birthday card to his mom. He assures me that God does indeed pray.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
As a Roman Catholic I believe in the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That is, three persons in one God.
ReplyDeleteI believe it was Jesus Christ ("the Son") who, in Matthew 6 taught us how to pray, saying "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name..."
Another prominent example of Jesus (God) praying to our Father, is Matthew 26:39 "He advanced a little and fell prostrate in prayer, saying, 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will...'"
Indeed, God DOES pray.
This video is merely another example of great wisdom from the mouths (or pen in this case) of children....
Excellent points. I'll talk to Dat on Friday.
ReplyDeleteGood kid.
