Adoption Matching Event in Lehigh County Tonight
The goal is to pair prospective parents with one of the more than 180 children in Pennsylvania children who need a home. Caseworkers will be on hand to answer questions and give insight into the personalities and lives of the children they represent.
Last year, five children found homes through the matching event.
Photos of 40 Pennsylvania children waiting for adoption will be displayed in the Government Lobby as part of the state’s Heart Gallery Exhibit. Every few weeks the gallery moves to a new location in the state to reach as many people as possible.
The Heart Gallery will be in Lehigh County until April 30.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
This is a wonderful effort on behalf of county officials.
ReplyDeleteThis is paid for with taxes. Are the Tea Partiers aware of this? Will there be protests?
ReplyDeleteConservatives are just glad you didn't kill them. Under Obamacare, future tax dollars will vacuum the little suckers from uteruses before agencies need events like this to get rid of them. It's the progressive approach.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you posted this. Bernie, underneath your crusty exterior, you seem to actually have a heart.
