Jake Towne: Don't Crash Private Planes Into IRS Buildings

Congressional candidate Jake Towne may wonder why I'm so reluctant to post his never ending news releases. Here's why.

In wake of news that a disgruntled taxpayer flew a private plane right into an IRS branch last week, Towne jumped right on the story, assuring us in seven thousand word posts, which he litters all over the Internet, that he'd never do anything like that.

Whew! That's a relief.

Now it's tacky enough that he would use this sad story as an excuse to shill for his campaign, but he tops that off by calling LV Congressman Charlie Dent an "unwitting sap."

  1. bernie, in my opinion you're casting Towne in a light which he did not shine. first off, the link goes to a third party site which picked up a towne piece, not his site. secondly, and more important, in my opinion you took the sap comment out of context. towne's main issue is the constitutional consequences of the patriot act, a view shared by many. p.s. i support dent, but will not label his opponents with half truths.

  2. That third party site is just one of many that carries Towne's endless messages. Also, MM, the reality is that he used a tragedy to promote his candidacy and simultaneously slam Dent. It was tacky, to say the least.

You know better than most how difficult it is for an independent to be taken seriously. Towne is failing bc he says too much, too often, and even uses this incident to promote himself.

I stand by what I wrote, and will leave it to others to find the appropriate context.

  3. what a looney tune! keep posting his commentary Bernie. It will single-handedly undermine the Tea Baggers and their attempts to destroy America.

  4. I like to see long shots run. It always makes it interesting. You see them say the damnedest, and sometimes the stupidest things.
Jake Towne had a campaign sign up on I-78 west bound at the Lehigh Street exit but I think the plows destroyed it.

  5. I am still trying to understand what Mr. Stack gained by burning down his house, killing himself, killing another, and injuring 13 people. Did I miss the message in all of this? What did he accomplish?

And for that matter, what does Mr. Towne accomplish by this post of his?

I think I missed the boat on this whole fiasco. Please someone enlighten me.

    Peace, ~~Alex

  6. They said only a NUT would run as an 'independent' in the 15th District, so he's just proving them right.

  7. Alex, there is really no point in worrying. Your inability to grasp the situation is not commentary on you but rather Mr. Towne. Your sanity is still in tact.

    ReplyDelete
  8. To be honest, I think you are the first person to ever mention sanity and my name in the same sentence. There is a first for everything. Thanks!

  11. I would agree that any candidate that uses any kind of tragedy to promote their campaign should be ashamed. It seems that Mr Towne is becoming more and more helpless in his campaign to unseat Charlie Dent.
I guess now he will try the Callahan approach and accuse Charlie for the high electric rates. Politics don't you just love it.

  12. I find myslef in the same boat as Father Alex.

What did that pilot REALLY accomplish at the end of the day besides kill himself.

    (And somebody else)

    For what?

    I am confused as well.

  13. Anon 3:40,

It is quite apparent from visiting the links offered that your enemies list is rather long.

Which must create a lot of work for you with your 'worthwhile' endeavors.

In a bid to save YOU time and to help make your business more efficient, which will give you the ability to expand your operatons, I have a proposal :

Start listing the people you actually DO approve of at everybody's blog everywhere all the time.

I, for one, am very interested to know.

Is there anybody on the planet you DO NOT hate other than Mrs. Dottie?

    I sometimes wonder.

  14. Campaigning on tragedy is a pretty wacky thing to do. So I thought I would share a fun fact. to cheer us all up.

What musical performing group has sold more albums?

Local Lehigh Valley performers and wannabees Bill (I wish I had Lennon's talent) Villa and Angie Yoko Ono Villa, or........

THE JINGLE CATS, performers of such great hits as Meow Bells and Have a very Meow Christmas.

I know, incredibly, it is the JINGLE CATS!
They have sold tens of millions of albums! Amazing, just amazing!

I just thought I would share that!

  16. Not crashing planes into buildings is always a good policy.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I support the no-planes-into-buildings policy as well. Towne will take significant votes from Dent in November. Bernie walks a fine line between playing defense as an honorary member of Charlie's campaign, and giving notoriety to a guy who's becoming better known and whose votes will all come out of Charlie's side. Careful, Bernie. Just as with Scott Ott taking on Cunningham in your last campaign, you may doth protest too much against you current opponents - Towne and Benol.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Not sure Towne will take away any votes. He may just take votes from people who would not otherwise vote.

  20. Hey! This just In! Bill and Angie Villa are going to use the massive fortune awarded them by the Court to film a remake of the Jack Nicholson Movie classic, "THE SHINING"
Bill and his wife will be in the lead roles.
    "REDRUM?" Anybody?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Nah, not the Shining. More like "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest"

  22. You go Jake. Ohare is a hater and he loves Dent so you are in double trouble. If he loved you, like Stoffa, he would be praising your "against the machine" campaign. Sadly, you are going against an Ohare mancrush.

Keep fighting the good fight and don't worry about the 20 to 30 of us that visit Ohatres blog. Bernie has been shown to be an entertaining if quite wacky source of political humor.

  23. Jake wouldn't fly a plane into a building? I'm glad he's not running on the Taliban/ Al Queda Party Platform! Wooh, what a relief! But don't give Bill Villa any ideas!.

On second thought..... Hey Bill, I hear O'Hare is holding a meeting of his unholy alliance at the Neuweiler Brewery.......

Just get yourself a drum of Diesel Fuel and some fertilizer and you will be just fine!

    Trust me!

  24. Why the hate on a man who lost his daughter. Why not be a real man and STFU!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. This is rich. Villa continually hijacks other people's blogs to hurl taunts and insults, sometimes in the midst of important stories, and then plays the grieving father when people point out that he is an asshole. And I'll add here, a mentally ill criminal.

    ReplyDelete
  26. So has anyone yet to see a point into Mr. Stack's unusual behavior?

I highly doubt that this was an act of terrorism.

    Peace, ~~Alex

    ReplyDelete
  27. No point, father. The guy was a mess and he needed and found a scapegoat to to mitigate his own pain.

He was a criminal, a murderer, at best. An argument can be made that he is a domestic terrorist, because he used violence against civilians and attempted to instill fear to advance a political viewpoint. However, there is no movement left behind to carry on the "fight", which is normally considered when defining an act as terrorism.

I've seen some debate at other sites. A popular supposition is that he set his house on fire as a distraction and to strain the response resources so he could inflict maximum damage.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's a catch-22. The Anon bloggers who Villa is harassing can't sue him, because then he would find out who they are and where they live, which is exactly what he wants, so he can harass them further. They can't win either way, because the costs far outweigh any gain. Most people I know are shocked and outraged over the hate he spews on that so called blog. He can write and defame me all he wants, I know what he is writing is lies, and so do the people who know me.
I reiterate once again that I did not write that awful comment defiling his daughter that he keeps attributing to me.
I want to once again point out that the comment in question mysteriously only appears on a blog where he controls ALL content. If it was posted anywhere else, I have not seen it, and I deleted it whern he tried to post it on my blogs. I think he does a awful job of defiling her all on his own. May her soul rest in peace.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I want to add that I believe, though I obviously have no proof, that Villa penned that comment himself to try and drum up pity for himself.
Villa has no proof of anything either, but that hasn't stopped him from spouting more and more lies.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Chris,

Do yourself a favor and ignore those mentally ill narcissists. There is little doubt in my mind that the Villas put that there themselves, so they could blame everyone else. I think they've accused me of writing that remark, too.

Their spam is designed to discourage people like you, LVCI and others from participating in the local blogosphere. If it's not about them, they try to destroy it.

  31. Bernie,
You only don't support Jake because he takes votes away from your Dent. If he were competing with Callahan, then you would support him, at least somewhat.

    Jake is a good guy.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Jake is not a tea bagger.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I read Jake's post. It doesn't reference "he'd never do anything like that"

Bernie, again, you are a liar.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Does that mean he would do something like that? My mistake.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Gee, and i thought the reason the Blogosphere existed was solelt to do Bill Villa's bidding1 My Tea Bag!
