  3. maybe we could ask dent why the streets in NE bethlehem aren't plowed and why the cities bills aren't paid. if jc can't take care of these things in a small town how is he going to manage being in congress?

  5. It should be interesting to see how the "independents" over at a certain blog explain the $ 355,000 Callahan spent in casino host fees and 'other costs' without authorization.

I wonder what the other costs are --- drugs? hookers?

    What would RYLOCK say?

  6. Anon 8:57, Really? If you want to go after a person on an issue you don't agree with, that is one thing. You have every right to speak your mind, but to insinuate ANYONE is buying drugs and hookers without a shred of evidence, that is libel plain and simple.

    See Definition below:
Law. a. defamation by written or printed words, pictures, or in any form other than by spoken words or gestures.
    b. the act or crime of publishing it.

  7. Last time I checked, a question, however tasteless, is not defamatory. Had the poster asserted that the expenditure had, in fact, been made, then you would have a point.

  8. I do not consider that statement, made in a joking way about a public figure, as close to anything defamatory.

Dent has already been called corrupt and a sell-out numerous times on this and on other blogs. As tasteless as some people can be, and I see evidence of that all the time, even those statements are not defamatory.

Having said that, there are many issues in this congressional race and no reason to get wrapped up in personal attacks against either candidate, unless it is about some charateristic that affects one's job performance.

What do you think question marks are for?

    ?????

Please lecture me some more about the legal definitions of slander when you have the time.

  10. Democrats :

Dish it out, can't take it.

Does Callahan pick his nose in public?

  11. Democrats:

The whole world saw how you behaved during the Bush years.

    The assasination books, etc.

The whole world saw how you booed Bush right off the stage at the Inauguration.

    NOW - You demand respect.

That is an absolute howl that gets better with every passing day as a certain somebody whose policies I oppose has his popularity numbers continue to plummet.

Take a hard look in the mirror, remember YOUR behavior as the minority and take the lectures about civility and stick them where the sun never shines.

Take a look at the past 12 months, think about calling people Nazis and Klu Klux Klansmen and homosexuals and, and, and.

You clowns had the world by the balls with your Super Majority and lost it all in less than twelve months.

Too bad. So sad. I get three more years at least, maybe seven. Hell, maybe two terms will not be enough, so I hear.

Thank you Democrats for showing me how to act and what to do all those Bush years and at the Inauguration!

No better, no worse. Equality for all. That is my policy.

I let Democrats set the standards because I am more bi-partisan than given credit for.

    9:34,

Did you REALLY think you could intimidate ME?

  12. I think the iron pig has returned? Are you going to be nice or an asshole again? Are Democrats going to give Bush some respect, since he did allow the twin towers bombings, right?

    Enough question marks for you?

I will say though that I agree snowplowing in Bethlehem has gone to Hell in a hand basket. If Dent is smart he will send little Igor Milan out lickedy split and take some pictures of neighborhood streets anywhere, even the northside. You risk your life trimng to get to a main road!
