Wanna' Have Lunch With State Rep. Bob Freeman?

When: Friday, January 22 - Renew Lehigh Valley Brown-bag Lunch Session

Special Guest: State Representative, Bob Freeman

Time: Noon - 1:30PM

Location: Victory Fire House, 205 Webster St., Bethlehem (South Side).

What: A preview of what's coming up this year in Harrisburg. Urban revitalization, smart growth, open-space preservation, are the listed topics. I'd like to know why there really has been no property tax reform, why efforts for a constitutional convention have fizzled, why Pennsylvania is #50 out of 50 states in public health and when the legislature is finally going to do something about our archaic campaign finance laws.

Bring your own damn lunch. That's why it's called a brown bag. I'll bring the keg.

If you'd like to know more, or have any questions about the event, contact Steve Bliss at sbliss@renewlv.org or 484-893-1060.

  1. I thought the guy was dead? I guess he's just been invisible. He's still pulling a taxpayers' check, I suppose. Time to send this career rubber stamp do-nothing packing.

  2. Politicians that can't be "fired" don't give you anything, but lip-service and bad legislation. So why again do I want to eat with him?

  3. Rep. Bob Freeman is a wonderful man and a true public servant. You may not have heard what he's up to because he is not a media hound, just works quietly for the public good. Come to the brown bag and figure out what he's been doing and why people love him.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
