"Transparent" Ed Pawlowski Finally Itemizes $8k Election Day Fund

In his post election campaign finance report, filed December 3, 2009, Allentown Mayor Edwin Pawlowski lists an $8,000 expenditure for to "misc. canvassers for election day." But he fails to tell us who they are, or how much was paid to each.

Voting Registrar Stacy Sterner directed Pawlowski to itemize his expenses on December 23rd, and was told she'd have it by January 4th, the day she retired. Pawlowski dragged his feet, ignoring his promise to Sterner as well as two or three calls from Acting Registrar Terri Harkins. On Monday, I had to wonder whether this was actually an election day slush fund.

Yesterday, on January 19th, Pawlowski finally amended his report, itemizing the $8,000 he claims to have spent on election day.

I'll tell you about that below.
