Twelve Vie For Leiner's Vacant Seat

Ten people have applied for an open seat created by Bill Leiner's resignation as a Lehigh County Commissioner. They are Marc I. Basist, Geoffrey S. Brace, Bruce A. Brinker, John V. Cooney, John F. Cramsey, Walter Felton, Jr., Robert J. George, William H. Hansell, John R. Hofmann, Sr., Andrea Landsbach, George Speros Maniatty, Jr., and Deana M Zosky. I will be posting links to information submitted by each applicant.

  1. Hansell can't tell his right from left foot. He is a paid consultant for Don C.

He should be immediately eliminated by the Republican majority.

    Fenton is the man

  4. Anon 5:51, I omitted George by accident and just fixed that error. Thanks for noting it.

  6. Whatever the County does.... NO to Zosky. She practically ruined Lower Macungie. Arrogant and cocksure of herself. She has absolutely NO local government experience and would be a disaster for the County. Remember... she was appointed to her Lower Macungie position. Its time for her now to be ELECTED for her next position.

  7. Fenton's letter was handwritten. He surely distinguished himself.

  8. he distinquished himself so much that he keeps getting called "Fenton" when his name is Felton. But it is clear that his people are here to keep drumming him up.

  9. Either Geoff Brace or Jack Cooney would get my vote. Probably Geoff because I think he understands younger constituents better.

  10. I agree with the NO to Zosky.

Peter Nelson was "her guy" as solicitor, who had no previous experience in municipal law, and primarily created the quarry fiasco with Jaindl, and now has the Township in an incredibly tough position to defend itself.

It's the story that isn't being told.

  11. ms. zosky has been a principle activist in safeguarding the little lehigh creek and the valley's water supply. with both the county water authority and allentown rejecting the DEP attempt to monitor the water situation, her appointment would best serve the public interest.

really? he's got a pretty impressive resume for someone you're trying to portray as a hack.

  13. Bernie -

Shouldn't Felton take some time off and THINK about what he wants to run for, instead of running for everything. In the last two years he's run for Sherriff and Distric Magistrate. How much dedication will he have for the Commissioner position, or will it be just a stepping stone for whatever he feels like next?

Regarding Hansell, he is a hack. It doesn't matter what his resume states. I've seen how he has tried to meddle in Allentown (despite living in Lower Macungie) and the results. County government is better off without him.

  14. Zosky is a very smart, engaging, hard worker. I believe she is the best choice because she understands the needs of the Valley as a whole.
