I've been informed that, contrary to what has been commonly thought, Northampton County Council member Lamont McClure has decided against seeking the state house seat recently held by Judge Criag Dally. In this right-leaning district, Dems are understandably cautious.
On the Republican side, Dally office manager Marcia Hahn, Wind Gap Attorney Nick Sabatine and some retired military man are all testing the waters.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Darn it. I was so looking forward to voting against him.

ReplyDeleteFrom time to time, I temporarily enable comment moderation, usually whn I am undergoing a troll attack, so I can take out the garbage. On a weekend, when most of us like to relax, the trolls get very busy.

ReplyDeleteLet me know if you are still coming to the Pro-Life March. The march is on January 22, about 1 PM'ish, at The National Mall in D.C. The Pro-Life vigil is on January 21, at The Basilica. It can also be viewed on EWTN, live on Thursday night at 6:30 PM.
So to all of you out there, look for me on the television. I will be one of the first few brothers during the procession to the altar. And I will be wearing all black vestments.

It is not only about babies, but all life. I pray that no one even has to decide whether or not to terminate me when I get old and forgotten about.
How many people made an important impact in this world, that would have fit your requirements to be euthanized? With that said, you may have killed Beethoven or Jesus.
But I wouldn't call myself an extremist. I won't be one of those in the march carrying a poster of an aborted fetus. I will be just taking in the sights of thousand of people (of all ages, races, religions, and non-believers) peacefully gathering and demonstrating together.
I just happen to love and value life. I even cherish the life of anonymous bloggers that can't spell and make vast and unlogical generalizations, unlike yourself or your astute opinions, of course.

The USCCB printed some literature a few years ago regarding how to vote with a Catholic faith. When I find it, I will provide a link to it, here. But in its summary, it suggests weighing a candidate's overall preception. Voting your conscience is not easy. Sometimes, your have to chose between the lesser of the two or three. Such as, choosing between sending people to war to fight and possibly die in the name of freedom, abortions, healthcare, education, stem cell research, termination of the ill, and etc.
ReplyDeleteHow I choose to vote is a private matter and shouldn't influence you in such a way. You have to make your own decision in respect to your own conscience, religion, faith, issues, and/or whatever you hold close to your heart. Free will is tough sometimes. It wasn't meant to be easy.
