How's That Northampton County Parking Deck?

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Is this the same deck that Stoffa claimed was unsafe four years ago? He told people it was unsafe to park on but let it go for four years.
ReplyDeleteHe is the model of competence.
In April 2008, CMX told Northampton County Council that its 32 year-old parking deck needed $6 million in repairs and had a useful life of 2 more years. Stoffa got the cost of repair down to $1.5 MM, and it will be done in the Spring. Stoffa has acted responsibly and frugally.
ReplyDelete... after being called on $186,000 parking spaces.
ReplyDeleteCheck the records and see he said it was unsafe in 2006, needlessly scaring hundreds of employees. It took him four years to actually say what he said years ago,"we will put it in a bond issue". WOW.
ReplyDeleteThe $186,000 spaces are right on the mark. Thank Council for holding that up. But CMX got their nice check. Do some digging and you will find a very famous or infamous past county oficial involved in the CMX deal, oh yea!
I did check the records. Stoffa never said anything about safety. He did hire an engineering firm that expressed an opinion when I said it did, in April 2008, not four years ago (as you said last night), not in 2006 (as you say now). Also, the notion that he proposed $186k parking places is laughable. The garage he considered would have included several county departments, a fact you choose to ignore.
ReplyDeleteYou just repeat lies here.
To Ohare checking "the records", is asking Stoffa and company if something is accurate.
ReplyDeleteYou would have been perfect for Munich. Hitler would have loved you.
I wnet back and looked at county council minutes to see what exactly Stoffa said and when he said it. As usual, the truth is completely different from what you claim. And of course, you slam the person who points to the truth.
ReplyDeleteIts very good to see that nice parking deck avail by you to others.NJ Deck Repair
