"I am pleased to announce that effective Monday, August 18, 2008 the Northampton County Courthouse campus will embark on a vastly improved waste recycling program. Under this new system, almost any item that passes through your hands on a daily basis can be recycled. This new recycling program is called 'single stream' - which means that acceptable items in office areas can be placed in one container. This effort will save at least $3,000.00 per year. The Courthouse Complex alone, presently deposits 50 to 60 tons of material in landfills per year. Other County buildings will be addressed in the near future."

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Just like all his ideas, they wind up in the crapper.
ReplyDeletePlease reconsider your dual-use bidet-fountain plan. I suspect it will only encourage an increase in bottled water. That, and because I've just puked three times.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the $3000 will go towards the $100,000+ he has cost taxpayers by dragging his feet not completeing and delying needed projects.
ReplyDeleteMmm, wouldn't it be nice if he cared as much about the county employees that are continually ignored and severely underpaid??...........he's such a wuss he can't even send his e-mails to the employee masses until 4:32, when everyone's computer is already turned off for the end of the day........
ReplyDeleteHe is a darn sight better than his would be successor Ann McHale. One day she supports him the next she jabs him. He is a better friend to employees than McHale. He never voted to freeze pay and lay-off people and she did.
ReplyDeleteHe is more of a solution than, part of the problem, McHale.
can i inquire how much does it actually cost to accomplish all that recycling?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but don't know. I'm sure Mr. Dittmar can answer your question if you give him a call.
