The Mourning Call's Dear Departed

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
Some good ones on that list...their writings will be missed.
ReplyDeleteDid reporters give the same courtesy when other businesses went under? They posted names.
ReplyDeleteDid the photographers give the same courtesy when Bethlehem Steel went out of business and not show photos of people being laid off? They posted laid off people's photographs.
The shoe is on the other foot now, and they won't publish names? How convenient!
No, I am the one who is reluctant to publish these names. I published a few over the weekend and began to feel bad about it bc I am sure this is embarrassing and I don't know whether family members and friends know. So I decided I won't publish any more names. I have no rtrouble linking to a blog that contains some of these names bc I suspect the Tell Zell blog has a big audience of disgruntled Trib employees.
ReplyDeleteBoonie, they didn't feel bad when they published you got in trouble as a lawyer when you messed up at 2.5 million dollar settlement for the family of a man who got killed while operating his crane.
ReplyDeleteMariella Savidge should have been canned years ago. She'll have something with 4 paragraphs that says absolutely nothing...such fluffy writing.
ReplyDeleteJoe Blow,
ReplyDeleteYou're slamming a real person and don't even have the guts to ID yourself?
O'Hare, when the hell did you start caring about embarrassing people? You've done it so many times and to good people who you have never met, you jerk. There have been many times where you've slammed people on here without getting the real story, facts or knowledge of who the person is you're slamming. Un-f'n-believable! Don't try to spin it either. Take the livlihood thing you're about to talk about, and flush it. What a jerk.
ReplyDeleteI accept full responsibility for what I write. You can see my name. The only people I embarrass are anonymous assholes like you and people who should be embarrassed. I afflict the comfortable, and it drives them and their servants nuts. That's what really bothers you. Sure, I'll attack an Easton city council candidate who sells out to special interests. People should know he's for sale. I never attack personally. I never am gleeful about another person's misfortune. Sycophants like you respond with ad hominems.

ReplyDelete"No, I am the one who is reluctant to publish these names." I am aware you are reluctant and I understand that, but my point is that why won't the MC publish it's own sins?
"I never am gleeful about another person's misfortune." I trust that is true, but the MC made a profit over another person's misfortune, therefore, they should publish it's own sins.
My points are not on you, just the MC.
