Looking for a Job? Sam Bennett Wants You!

From Democratic Gain, it looks like "competitive challenger" Sam Bennett is looking for an experienced field director who's willing to work long and irregular hours, develop and execute a field plan, do laundry and even have access to a car!

This could be just the opening that Severson Scissorhands needs.

  1. If you are referring to the bullshit political prosecution Severson is now facing, I expect you will see the DJ throw one and possibly all three of charges.

  2. I've met Severson Scissorhands a couple of times and think that he's a darling.

  3. Anon 7:30, the Severson supporter. Would you care to share w/ us why you think it's "bullshit political prosecution" as opposed to legitimate charges?

  4. I'll wait and see what happens in court.

Obviously, local machine Dems are making this "political persecution" claim about a guy they owe $9k. They need him for more anonymous smear campaigns since they worked so well last time.

Severson has finally gone too far.

  5. All I know is that it is time to concede and pay off your bet. You need to work on those three paragraphs now. hell, maybe if they're good you can get the field director job..

Yep. Severson is bad, but Morganelli ought to know better and hasn't said a word about his dirty buddy. That makes him worse in my book. I'm certain John is praying that this will go away for exactly the reasons you state. That way he won't have to distance himself from a guy who disrupted a lady's Mass of Christian Burial.

I wonder how John would like it if it happened in his parish? I know. I know. He asked for the investigation. Not good enough. Somebody besides this blog should have the balls to call Scissorhands what he is.

Morganelli's walking a political tightrope. Likely on the advice of the filthiest political operator in the state.

God help us if he's not rejected for statewide office for the fourth time.

I was hoping you had forgotten. I'll have to work on it. I do concede I've lost and bow to your wisdom.

  9. Bernie, Severeson is a conservative Republican and if you want to talk about folks who owe him money check out the Republican State Committee - they owe him REAL money. Anyhoo, the charges against him are trumped up by AG Corbett b/c he is a friend and consultant of Morganelli's. At most, what he is guilty of disorderly conduct. Interview your best friend Angle, he doesn't even believe Severson was trying to injure him physically.

  10. A Morganelli flak checks in. And one who's read Machiavelli at that.

    Dirty, dirty, dirty John.

Yes, he does.I don't have to "interview" him now. I talked to him then. He was both upset and a little concerned about his personal safety. I don't blame him. Don't minimize what Severson did.

  12. BS, Severson will probably get a fine based on Disorderly Conduct. You yourself admit you are biased. The accounts of the events by others don't exactly match Mr. Angle and Ms. Ensselin's account. Angle and Ensselin go back and the DJ is aware of that.
Angle is the consumate trouble maker and the idea of the threat being legitimate is nonsense.
Finally, the boy who crys wolf all the time(after constantly poking the wolf)(Angle), will find his claims of personnal safety won't wash.
As stated before both these guys are loose cannons. Save the taxpayers money and let them duke it out in a cell. Maybe Angle won't try to instigate so many problems in the future.

  13. Your disdain for Angle is no justification for the criminal conduct of Tom Severson, which extended beyond his violent behavior towards Ron.

Come Thursday, the case may be bound over, may be dismissed or may even be negotiated to some sort of deal. I won't predict that. I will be there.

I did report this incident and was told I was a liar. I reported the arrest amd was told i was a liar again. Some people just bury their heads in the sand and won't see the truth.

  14. The response to this question is why Bennett will lose. Who wants to work for her? Nobody in their right mind, that's who.

  15. Perhaps she could hire a truth writer to help her get her stories straight...

  16. She is apparently looking for an assistant finance manager as well, and recently announced that she hired a new campaign manager. In the later link, Ms. Bennett is quoted as saying that "National folks are taking a strong interest in this race."

That's sort of curious, since Ms. Bennett has not made the DCCC's Red to Blue program list. The DCC site describes this list as such: "candidates for change being named to the DCCC Red to Blue program are running strong campaigns and are committed to making things easier for middle class families in their districts." To be fair, she is on their emerging races list, but there's just 5 months left before the election.

Sorry to comment on an older post like this, but I have not found much information on this supposedly hot race anywhere lately. In addition, it seems Rep. Dent's own campaign site has been "under construction" for months now, so it has become a rather strange race to follow. Do you have any news on either candidate? Any debates scheduled? Any noteworthy announcements?
