Molovinsky the Filmmaker
Want proof? Check out his touching tribute to Allentown artist Gregg Weaver, a film he made back around '72. If you're a boomer like me, the music and images will bring back memories of a wild time in our nation's history - one we're unlikely ever to see again. His film itself is art.

You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
I actually thought the movie is TRUE art and should be saved. It was made in the year I was born and the hairstyles and clothing show the culture of the day. Did you see the beards, afros, and men's thigh high boots? Classic!
ReplyDeleteYeah, BH, MM was definitely an artist that may have become bitter over the years due to the changes in the city. I wonder if he made any more shorts like this?

I wouldn't wanna see MM in shorts ...
ReplyDeleteI never thought of MM as a stuffy conservative, but it's good to see him getting back in touch with his inner hippie.
