Historic First Pitch at Coca Cola Park

On the Lehigh Valley IronPigs website, there's a photo of the historic first pitch ever thrown in Coca Cola Park - a called strike to leadoff hitter Jimmy Rollins. Sitting in the DugOut Suites behind Rollins is Northampton County exec John Stoffa. He's wearing the white Phillies hat. The woman on his left? Former Lehigh County exec Jane Ervin. The dude between and in front of them? My brother. I'm next to my brother, but was mercifully blocked out of the shot.

  1. Where'd you get the ticket, hack ?

  2. Joe Long. And incidentally, when you start things off by calling someone a name, you just make yourself look bad.

  3. Sweetheart. This is a serious topic. You are clearly a propagandist for Stoffa, Dent and Angle. The MSM sometimes picks up what it thinks is news here. Bill White has admitted as much. So, it is appropriate to find out if this is payola, isn't it ?

  4. Anon 11:03,

If this is so serious, why are you anonymous?

As I mentioned last week, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Someone who had the ticket could not use it, and I happened to be there. There were no strings attached.

Neither Angle nor Dent had tickets themselves, so far as I know, so I don't know how they could give me onee. Stoffa was there, as you can plainly see, so I obviously did not get the ticket from him.

So the three people you name as objects of my affection had nothing to do with my tickets.

Over my lifetime, I have often accepted tickets to games from people I know. I'm sure you have, too. I would not accept a ticket from someone who is trying to influence what i write. I won't even accept local ads.

I simply used tickets the orginal recipient was unable to use. I have done this long before I ever started blogging. I'm not going to penalize myself simply because I now happen to blog.

  7. Is the suite area behind Homeplate the 'Pig Pen' or 'Payola Plaza' ?

  8. Anon 9:14, 11:03, 1:35 and 1:38,

The post is about opening day at Coca Cola Park, so why are you trying to twist it into so sort of scandal about Bernie O'Hare? Didn't we already go through all this in last week's LVR posts on this very game? Don't you have your own blog someplace where you can go on and on and on with this obsession of yours?

These are rhetorical questions. Please don't answer them here.

Mr. O'Hare has a very large audience, which may or may not be why you keep surfacing with your attacks. Surely you must have your own audience somewhere to which you can continue with your complaints, so that the rest of us can read and discuss LVR posts as they pertain to the topic at hand.
