Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham has screwed up. His office just sent me a news release. Bossman Long will probably make Cunnigham run laps around the courthouse or something.
Today, at 3:00 PM, Cunningham will hold a news conference on the courthouse steps to endorse PA Supreme Court Candidate Judge Seamus McCaffrey. The Judge will be present and available for questions. I'd love to be there, but that depends on my day job.

ReplyDeleteam i reading what's on his site correctly, he is not a lawyer? has there ever been a justice on the supreme court before who was not a lawyer? it seems the philly machine is so entrenched, either no one is any longer bashful to support or secure enough to stand up against it.

I thought judges where suppose to be impartial! Get rid of the Judge System; replace them with all juries. Jury members can dismiss a law if they find it unreasonable, we can spread the high cost in maintaing a judge among it citizens - it's better at check and balances; something very must needed in todays system.
Having over two million people in jail in a America tells you this.
I'll stop "what you call spamming" when you stop screwing with my generations way of life!

(2) An "all jury system" would weaken the judicial branch to the point where it will no longer present a meaningful check and balance on abuses by the legislature and executive branch. The final result will be a tyranny, the very police state of which you now complain.
