Conressman Dent Has Nearly Half Million Dollar Warchest

Congressman Charlie Dent's latest quarterly report, filed yesterday, shows he picked up another $157,000. This gives him a $458,933.83 warchest, with the election over a year away.

Challenger Sam Bennett's quarterly report, due today, is not available as of 3 PM on the FEC website. At the end of July, she had just $44,330.31 in the bank.

Evening Update: Morning Call Washington correspondent Josh Drobnyk has managed to get his hands on Bennett's quarterly. She only raised $28,000, and her final cash balance is just $33,000.

She actually has $11,000 less in the bank than she did July 15. She's going backwards. Capital Cahir quotes Bennett campaign manager Walter Ludwig admitting, "We know we need to do better and we're doing better already."

What is this the local newspaper?

The reason we have the internet is to change the bad things we have outside the internet!

So what! What has all the money given to these idiots ever produced that wasn't self serving that didn't take away money, power, and influence from the people that paid their God Dam Pay Checks. That's us Bernie! Gee!

  2. Maybe that's why we have such poor air?

All that money going in the wrong place!

I guess it will get dirtier a little bit longer; as long, as we give money to the dirtiest people in the area to make more fools of us. Oh well! I'm looking forward to my new healthcare crisis. Dam I can't breath the air or drink the God Dam Fluoridated water.

I think I'll have to move outside the area; so all you bastards
can die from the great decision making you have done to bring us to this point.

Bill Hall, a recent entry, won't be required to file until the next quarter.

One of the Internet's advantages is that it enables us to get the word out fast. Blogs can, and do, report news now and then.

Maybe someone should remind Ludwig that she is LOSING money...

It would be nice if you gave it "we the people" point of view; instead of the format that we see in the paper. The format begs I want to be just like the newspaperss "Manufactured Constent
    for Regionalization"

  7. Bennett is moving forward by going backward. Hey she's mastered the Beltway lingo! She belongs in Congress!

  8. Yeah, she belongs in DC....as a madame

  9. Anon 7:55,

    Holy canoli!

I can't give this a "we the people" format. This is not the frickin' Declaration of Independence. I was just telling folks the quarterlies are in. I linked to Dent's report. Bennett is not yet online.

  10. Anon 8:07,

You want to claim Bennett is a bad candidate? That's fine. I'm with you. But let's not resort to personal attacks.

  11. Both of these guys are a joke!

So how would giving money to any two candidates stop this?

Are we heading towards a 1929-like economic crash?

  12. I don't know what you are talking about. What "guys" are you talking about? Dent and Bennett? I'll agree Bennett is a joke, but anyone who calls Dent a joke has not done his homework. He is a serious candidate who researches issues, and his stance on most issues reflects the views of the LV.

You've linked to a movie and I can't dl that very fast at home. But you're not making much sense. Campaign contributions don't prevent economic crashes under any circumstances.

  14. Bernie O'Hare,

I'm not sure how you where raised as a child; but my father always
told me to expand my horizons beyond the neighborhood children.

So, I wouldn't be as dumb as the local bully would allow; I'm referring to Dent and his money supports here.

I find your praise for Dent silly
and a danger to Americans who love this Country. The support for Dent means the final destruction of the middle class as well as liberties and freedoms as we have known them to be. We will be very lucky if we get a second chance to recover if we don't put someone new in this office that can change things.

  15. Bernie - me thinks this new anon poster is trying to out-crazy you! :) Your reputation as your own blogs #1 gad-fly is in serious jeopardy!

Anyone else think Drake Minder is the new conspiracy pusher?

  16. Anon 10:52,

I think I told you earlier that it is hard for me to dl videos on my home PC. I prefer reading something to watching a video. I find I comprehend an essay a little more quickly than a video.

So if you have any essays or other material to support the proposition that Dent support will cause the sky to fall, please send me those links.

I get a little nervous when someone tells me that supporting a particular candidate is "a danger to Americans who love this country." That's a tad extreme, and is the kind of thinking that leads to the suppression of those liberties you claim are so important.

  17. Anon 11:20,

I think, but can't be sure, that Drake Minder would sign his own comment.

My reputation as my own blog's #1 crazy is intact. I have longevity.

Now you know your getting to the truth of the matter, when they want to know - Who Said That!

I know Drake Minder and in my opinion he's a good guy!

What conspiracy is Drake Minder pushing? Oh Anonymous said...

  19. I'm glad you like Drake Minder. This post is not about him. Please stay on topic. We are all busy people, and I don't care who is posting what so long as it does not involve a personal attack.

  20. I hope he raises a million dollars and buries that phoney. I'm a Dem that is tired of lectures by all the twenty something Dem's about voting for Bennet. If she is the best we can do I will support Dent. Why? Because even though he abd I don't agree on all things, I believe he believes what he says. Bennet is pure opportunist. When you have lived in the jungle for many decades you can tell the monkeys from the lions.

  21. Secret has it, both parties have false flags saying that their one party while secretly supporting the other side; just look for the signs on their front yard. Party supporting other party. It's an old game.

  22. No personal attacks on Bennett? Bernie, you have a lot of old posts to scrub.

Seriosuly, that comment that you were responding to was over the line, though.
