Northampton County Dems are having a picnic on Sunday, September 23, at the Tri-Boro Sportsman Club (RTE. 329) 21st & Canal Streets in Northampton between noon and 5 PM. Tickets are just $5. All local Democratic candidates will be there.
I've just sent Joe Long an email asking for press credentials. As a member of the press, I should be able to get in for free. Once I get past the bouncer, I'd like to get my hands on some of those raffle tickets.
A bronzed clodhopper with remnants of a gunshot hole ... will mysteriously appear on the doorprize table. Yes, Sam Bennett will be raffled off as part of The Joe Long Shoot Yerself In The Foot Award.
The grand prize? A framed copy of the original "We don't want no steenkin bloggers at a press conference" letter. Imagine - for the price of a raffle ticket, you can own an authentic email typed by the legendary Joe Long!
Maybe Joe will grant me an interview.
