KP: Allentown City Councilman Caught With a Pro

Keystone Politics scoops everyone with this little tidbit:

According to a police report obtained by Keystone Politics, Allentown City council member Antonio “Tony” Phillips (48) was involved in suspicious activity with a woman identified by sources close the police department as a reputed prostitute. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of on June 29, 2007 at the city’s Bucky Boyle Park. The police report indicated that officers with Allentown Police Department found Phillips and the woman “hiding within playground equipment.”

Phillips, who's also a wrestling referee, was probably just demonstrating some new wrestling moves with this young lady. Or maybe he was just checking her papers on that blanket, keeping Allentown safe from the scourge of illegal immigrants.

  1. Who was he engaging in "suspicious activity" with? Was it Sam Bennett? Seems everything she does is suspicious.

  5. Doubtful. Don't forget, Tony voted against the Employee Free Choice Act before A-town City Council.

  6. keystone apparently didn't scoop your associate chris casey, yesterday he published two versions of this story. in the first, the police allegedly caught the couple in the act. in Casey's current version. he actually had an associate read the police blotter. strangely enough he produced no additional information than published by keystone, but does tell a nice story about a mayor in ohio.

  7. MM, I see only one version, and it is posted after KP.

  8. Confine your one man crusade against CC to your own blog.

  9. bernie, there was an earlier version, as a matter of fact, addicted and I had a back and forth on the comments, i think mr. casey will confirm. the whole posting and comments were deleted and replaced, please ask him

  10. if he broke it before kp, Chris has my contact info and can let me know this himself. WE'll be glad to say we came in second if necessary and give him his props. But we broke this independant of his work.

Which begs the point, if Chris did break this, then I guess you need to re-evaluate your perception of him, don't you mike? They guy would have broken a story, but you distaste of him might prevent you from doing that.

  11. no, he didn't break the story, it appeared first on keystone, then here on ramblings where bernie credited keystone. then thirdly casey published it, but changed it, saying phillips was allegedly caught in a sex act. i commented that he should not distort the accusation.

  12. LV dem, i have no problem re-evaluating things or apologizing when appropriate. as a matter of fact, it does appear to me that keystone broke the story, confirming bernie and chris's contention about blogs and scoops. however, yesterday it appears casey took the story from keystone, then exaggerated the accusation. according to his later posting, his "researcher" only went to the police department later in the day.

  13. MM, So as I undersatand things, KP actually did break the story. I guess that means you made yet another false statement aboiut CC. And in your passion to get him, you clutter my blog w/ your crap. I'm telling you again to confine your personal vendettas to your own blog and to stay on topic here.

  14. i was being sarcastic about casey scooping keystone, i wrongly assumed everybody knew the timeline involved. It was first keystone, then rambling, followed by casey 1 and casey 2
