A Radio Talk Show Bigot: And I Don't Mean Ron Angle

Media Matters reports the latest half-witted antics of Rush Limbaugh:
On the January 24 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, host Rush Limbaugh referred to Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) and actress Halle Berry as "Halfrican American[s]," stating that "Barack Obama has picked up another endorsement: Halfrican American actress Halle Berry." Limbaugh then said: " 'As a Halfrican American, I am honored to have Ms. Berry's support, as well as the support of other Halfrican Americans,' Obama said." Limbaugh then conceded that Obama "didn't say it."

  3. julian,
To look up the article you noted is pointless. Knowing how you think from previous comments, I'm sure it has something to do with an asinine remark made by some one from the "left" side of the political spectrum.
That's not the point of this posting. This post is about the racist blathering of a pillhead....who has made racists remarks in the past.
Do you want to play gotcha? You bring up a dem named Jefferson and I'll raise you a repub named Cunningham. You talk about Clinton's little fling and I'll counter with Foley.
Grow up kid. Address the subject at hand with facts and logic, or shut up.
dg (and yes I'm anon. for reasons you'll never understand)

  4. Really racist, Stolz. Probably as racist as you are chickenhawkish.

The more we get to hear from you, the clearer YOUR colors become.

  5. Anon,

I don't always attack the left, and no, the article isn't about any lefties whatsoever. I just happened to catch it on Drudge. I'm a regular Limbaugh listener so I just pass it off as typical of El Rushbo. Seriously can we get passed the war issue and start working together on local issues? That's what's most important this year!

So Julian's rationale is that because Rush makes overtly racist remarks on a regular basis it is ok? I guess if I where some whiteboy from the burbs or the farm I my buy this bullshit, but I actually have friends what happen to be black, hispanic, asian, jewish, etc. so I cannot overlook such nonsense.

But let's give Rush credit, he is outwardly biggoted so he can be delt with. Julian, and others like him, on the otherhand, are harder to deal with because they allow such crap to be spewed with their complaciency. The enablers of the biggots.

  10. There goes the GROUPTHINK again-----calling some a "racist" when The Group does not agree with him.

Limbaugh, evil draft-dodger is one extreme; those who are raving and ranting about his alleged "racism"
    represent the other.

Neither side is big on free speech.
    Oh, that 'r'-word!

Also, it is now clear that the 'feud' between Jolly Joe and Ronnie A was nothing of the sort. it was "fake, phoney fraud."

    Same as right-wing drivel-kings and left-wing effetes.

  13. To Mr. Moshki, This has nothing to do w/ "groupthink" or being "politically correct" or whatever code words are being foisted on you these days. When someone makes an issue about another person's race and does so in a derogatory way, he's a frickin' racist. It's disgusting. He can say what he wants. But I also can say what I want, and I'm calling him what he is - a racist.

And the fued between Angle and Timmer was very real. I know this bc I've been at the station several times and have heard it from both of them. The only reason Angle has remained on the air is bc he had to take a big cut and actually likes doing it. I don't know how to say this nicely, but you just don't know what you're talking about, whether it's Angle or Limbaugh.

  14. Indivs. who shriek "racist" but don't encourage their daughters to marry someone of a different race are a bit on the hypocritical side.

If it is known that Angle took a pay-cut, that changes things. If it wasn't publicly known, then Bernie took a cheap shot.

    Again, Rush Pimp-baugh is "evil."
A chickenhawk of the lowest order.

If that's wrong, then so beeze it.

    ****************************
This is complete bullshit. You don't "encourage" your daughters about whow they marry. That's just as racist as telling them who they can't marry.

And as far as cheap shots are concerned, you claimed the Timmer-Angle fued was bogus, but had no knowledge of the facts on which to base that conclusion. That was a cheap shot.

  16. Simply using the word "racist" is to remove objectivity from a discussion.
it's puerile name-calling, something Limbaugh excels at.

Was the Angle-Timmer situation explained on the air? If not, then the allegations against anyone who assessed the feud to be phoney are
nothing but an as hominem attack.

Angle's greed for celebrity and Jolly's greed for money are plain to hear anyway.

Both are champions "for god." It's an insult to any listener's IQ as well as their own.
