You own views are appreciated, especially if they differ from mine. But remember, commenting is a privilege, not a right. I will delete personal attacks or off-topic remarks at my discretion. Comments that play into the tribalism that has consumed this nation will be declined. So will comments alleging voter fraud unless backed up by concrete evidence. If you attack someone personally, I expect you to identify yourself. I will delete criticisms of my comment policy, vulgarities, cut-and-paste jobs from other sources and any suggestion of violence towards anyone. I will also delete sweeping generalizations about mainstream parties or ideologies, i.e. identity politics. My decisions on these matters are made on a case by case basis, and may be affected by my mood that day, my access to the blog at the time the comment was made or other information that isn’t readily apparent.
I thought you like Ron. Is this how you treat those you like?
ReplyDeleteI do like Ron. But I think I've told you before I'm a miserable bastard.
ReplyDeleteIs this why you are doing the show today? Are the Boulder police investigating Ron for the murder of Jon Benet?
ReplyDeleteas i understand it, they were both clowns at one point or another in their careers.
ReplyDeleteTwins? Separated at birth?
ReplyDeleteNow be nice!
ReplyDeleteAngle actually looks scarier.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Ron actually underwent a surgical procedure to one of his legs today. He told me it was routine, but strange things can happen. And this is how I treat him. I'm definitely going to hell.
ReplyDeleteOf course, compared to Bobby Gunther Walsh, the good guy who gave his daughter a frightful beating and got away with it, Ron Angle is a model citizen.
ReplyDeleteMr. Moshki, I stopped listening to Gunther several years ago when he and Brinson flatly told callers they only wanted to hear from people who agreed with them. But I was a guest on his show a few times during the bond litigation and that coincided with the incident involving Gunther's daughter.
ReplyDeleteI read the news accounts and then I listened as Gunther told me exactly what happened. I wouldn't feel comfortable telling you what he said because he never told me I could pass it along. But let me assure you that he got away with nothing. There's a reason why charges were dismissed. I don't feel right talking about details, but I can't let your statement stand. It's wrong.
Although Gunther's a public personality, he's a very private guy. This thing really tore him up. He paid a very heavy price for doing something trhat any sane father would do under the same set of circumstances. I'll let it go at that.
Bernie!
ReplyDeleteFeeling guilty about mocking Angle?
Defending Battling Bobby Gunther?
Quoting Mother Teresa?
Did you have a religious conversion or a heart implant???
I'm trying to do a few nice things so I don't go straight to hell. Quoting Mother Teresa should keep the lightning bolts away a day or so. I don't think defending Walsh will help.
ReplyDeleteYou should have seen Gunther in Allentown in the late 1980's and early 1990's, hanging around the streets (when the streets were still safe) and telling the women he is a bigshot and getting picked up by a groupie now and then (did he think no one was watching?).
ReplyDeleteThey didn't call him "Gunther The Adulterer" for nothing.
And the picture of his daughter (beaten as Nicole Brown Simpson was beaten) was doctored, right?
Whatever Gunther did in the 80s or 90s is not really relevant to the accusation that he beat up his daughter and got away with it now, is it?
ReplyDeleteAnd as far as that incident is concerned, you never did hear the other side of the story. I could understand how you would feel after seeing that picture, but I don't think I have the right to fill you in. In any event, is Gunther's personal life all that relevant? I suppose the argument could be made that he makes it relevant by some of the tings he says on the air. But I stopped listening to him, and at his request, several years ago.
Maybe we can agree that BGW is a lucky guy; he did wave his preliminary hearing and then there was...........nothing.
ReplyDeleteOne can only assume strings were pulled. One might be wrong.
I understand why you would feel this way.
ReplyDeleteLast and foremost, Gunther is a chickenhawk (or as moshki say--war-coward).
ReplyDeleteOnly vivisectors and puppy mill owners are lower than those who say:
"Yeah mang, you go fight those guys, you might get killed or maimed but I'm with you, mang even though I, MYSELF would NEVER
personally get involved.
"And I didn't do anything but cut-or-run when it was my turn to serve but you go get 'em, mang!"
That's low, that's Gunther, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Savage-Weiner. What a line-up of radio sissies.
