Pathetic.
Reminds me of a local bar , well known for poker machines...
some guy went in with his pay check and won over 1000.00 bucks plus his pay check. the next week he lost all the cash as well as his pay check.
his wife was so pissed she went to the bar and told the bar tender to refund her cash. bartender of course said get lost. she then threatened to call in the LCB to bust them for the poker machines. The bartender , refunded the pay check and told the hag to stay out of the bar as well as her husband.
So when they won, nobody bitched and moaned. In fact the same bartender who paid out the winnings got a 50 dollar tip.
More govt is not always the answer all the time. self control, personal responsibility is the answer all the time.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9299655.post-48874486459516613092016-06-11T20:14:00.051-04:002016-06-11T20:14:00.051-04:00Bernie,

Most depressing place you can find other than inner city Chicago neighborhoods. Gambling used to be a vacation getaway experience but now that it has been expanded to tax hungry states everywhere it is sucking the lifeblood out of otherwise potentially productive citizens. Gambling in people's backyards with free booze expands all the ills of society.

Start to "Make America Great Again" by closing all casinos outside of Vegas & Atlantic City!! I haven't had any alcohol in over 20 years since I'm on coumadin, which reacts badly with any kind of alchohol, and many medicines as well. I smoked for about 10 years in my 20s, gave that up over 30 years ago and I don't have any indications of any lingering health issues.

I suppose I should go pick up all my old vices and add some new ones, then maybe government will give me money and pay attention to me ?

Frankly, government is not your mother, government is not your father. No one forces you to light up, go pull the slot lever or pound the budweiser. You are responsible for yourself. In other words, is it even possible to support, say, 12 separate buildings at one time?

Fred Windish

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9299655.post-20789905429555148632016-06-11T10:07:03.567-04:002016-06-11T10:07:03.567-04:00According to NESARC statistics, an astonishing 73 ...According to NESARC statistics, an astonishing 73 percent of gambling addicts are also problem drinkers, while 38 percent registered positive for a drug abuse disorder. Smoking is also ridiculously common among pathological gamblers, as 60 percent are practicing nicotine addicts. These rates are all far above the norm, so it is clear this is more than a statistical coincidence.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
