House Majority PAC Poll Has Brooks Ahead of Mackenzie in Pa. 07 Congressional Race

Bob Brooks certainly is a flawed candidate but a House Majority PAC poll, conducted between June 29 and July 2, has the Democratic nominee ahead of incumbent Republican Ryan Mackenzie in the Pa. 07 Congressional race, 47-43%. The same poll gives President Donald Trump a favorability rating of 44% and an unfavourability rating of 51%.

  1. That poll is really bad news for Brooksy. First, it’s a an internal Democratic poll. They generally have slightly more favorable findings for the candidate they support. It’s called the “house effect.” Brooksy’s lead is within the margin of error. Which means the race could be tied, or Mackenzie could be ahead by 4. Now an incumbent at 43% is not good. This thing is going to be close.

    1. Actually it’s a really bad poll for Ryan, because that’s way above Trump’s national and regional approval meaning this poll is likely favored in his direction even when we consider it’s a Dem internal. I think it’s more likely this is a skewed poll in Ryan’s favor where it’s good enough that Bob is winning but bad enough that funds should be diverted to him. Common practice and what I suspect if there’s no published crosstabs

  2. Ryan Crosswell is still stalking Bob. He’s acting like a candidate in waiting. Watch for Bob to drop.

  3. Polls and talking heads are useless. Research the candidates and think for yourself. (I know - wishful thinking.)

  4. Same poll had Kamala winning by 4 points. It's an internal poll that always favors Democrats. Republicans have similar nonsense. Both parties publish these in hopes their typical foot soldier amen corners spread the word via partisan blogs and things. Mission accomplished.

  5. Surprised it’s that close. It’s going to be a democrat wave.

  6. For as dull and flaccid Mackenzie is, at least what you see is what you get and he's the better choice, even if he likes to blow Donald's Trumpet. The Borking Boob is, by all accounts, dishonest, a liar, a fraud, and a deadbeat scofflaw. Every new story about the Boob shows he's even shadier and slimier than believed from the prior one.

The firefighters comment alone should have sunk him.

  7. I don't care who the candidate is as long as they did their job and provided checks and balances on a out of control President. If Trump was doing all this crazy shit as a Dem Id be voting Republican. Unfortunately Trump is a R so I will be voting D. Can you imagine the outrage on both sides of the congress if Kennedy , Reagan , Bush, Clinton or Obama took a $400 million "gift" 747 jet and then spent another $500 million to upgrade it for Airforce one for his use and then is taking it after he leaves office? That is some crazy shit!!!

    1. Agreed - neither side has a clue, especially when it comes to their own hypocrisy. Trump does at least 3 things every day, that would've been weeks of FOXNews programming if Obama did the same thing. Its not that hard to undestand why there is such distaste for incumbent politicians. They get to Washington and are immediately owned by the National power brokers and the local constituents are an afterthought. I miss McHale and Dent...

    2. Now do the other sides hypocrisy as well. See how that works. Both sides sucked so.....

  8. Ryan is just like his mother: show up at something for pictures, cookies, and juice. Say something meaningless and keep getting nothing done.

  9. Gotta laugh at all the poor republicans that show up on your blog Bernie still defending an administration that has conned them time and time again. They've been shown over and over that it doesn't care about working people, and only about enriching itself and its billionaire friends.

The gig is up folks, MAGA is a failure. We warned you about this starting in 2016, but too many were willing to overlook the lies because they were voting for a white political messiah. Instead, they got a grifter.

Now the pendulum is swinging, and it's swinging hard to the left.

    1. The hard left as you say are just crazy extremists. No ideas. Just give away free stuff that ultimately we will all pay for. They bash any republican. Trump will be gone so please start seeing clearly the extreme democrats that are winning and what they stand for. It's not for the America I know or ever want to see. The evil people are saying is unfathomable to me. I dont get it at all and God willing what the extreme left wants I will never see happen in our country. What happened to the middle ground reasonable people finding compromise!
