Attorney B. Lincoln Treadwell is Wilson Borough's newest Solicitor. He was appointed by Borough Council during a special meeting on February 18. The vote was 8-0, with one member absent.
Voting to appoint Treadwell were Council members Shaun Gable, Susan Allen, Kendra Cooper, John Burke, Grace Hurd, Jeffrey Bracken, Russell Lipari and Michael Figueroa. Council member Kimberlee Muzac was absent.
Treadwell previously served as Solicitor to Lower Saucon Tp for 23 years. He walked away in 2023, after that Council became fractious.
Treadwell was one of two applicants. The other was Attorney Chris Spadoni, who served as Solicitor to Bethlehem City Council and, most recently, to Northampton County Council.
Treadwell replaces Attorney Stan Margle, who was incarcerated early this month for criminal contempt after he refused to be drug-tested in connection with cocaine-related charges filed against him. Margle has since been paroled for treatment at an inpatient facility.
Treadwell didn’t “walk away” from Lower Saucon. He was dismissed.

DeleteAttorney Treadwell is an excellent choice as their Township Solicitor. He also serves as Richland Township's Solicitor.
ReplyDeleteAllow me to be clear. He did not leave Lower Saucon Township after Council became "fractious". He was pushed out by by the Democratic majority. He may be too pragmatic to confirm this, but the Township majority wanted a "yes man" as Solicitor. The current Township Council repeatedly violates the Sunshine Act, crosses inexcusable boundaries with staff and upon a request for open records was revealed, residents learned that the Democrat Council membets had other people in their crossfire, including the Code Enforcement Officer, who also resigned.
Unless I am mistaken, I don't believe that Lower Saucon Council has replaced the Code Enforcement Officer yet, nor have they hired a Full Time Township Manager. Currently, their main objective is to ban plastic bags from Township stores and close down long term Township, which they don't approve.

I am surprised the state disciplinary board still has done nothing regarding Stan's law license, not even a temporary/emergency suspension or putting him on disability inactive status. Either they move extremely slowly, they are unaware of Stan's pending charges, or Stan didn't actually screw up enough legal work for them to be able to take action.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, Treadwell didn't leave Lower Saucon by choice, the new democrat majority on council felt he was too close of an ally with the two remaining republicans on council. Which it did seem to me like he was. He's a very competent and experienced municipal attorney but I never cared for his arrogant attitude.
Linc Treadwell is an excellent lawyer and Wilson is lucky to have snagged him.

ReplyDelete4:43 and 4:50- it was 18 years ago. He immediately checked himself into rehab voluntarily and has been completely sober thereafter. I've attended picnics and holiday gatherings with him and have not seen him drink. He's "real" sober, not "Lisa Boscola" sober. He's honest in Court and elsewhere not "Tara Zrinski" honest who committed perjury and has her "political talking points" to get votes.. However, Lisa Boscola and Tara Zrinski are the darlings of this all Democrat Lower Saucon Council.
