Taiba Sultana to Primary Lisa Boscola?

Sultana door-to-door
In a recent story on his Apocalypse Now blog, Rich Wilkins suggests that former Easton City Council member Taiba Sultana is planning to primary popular State Senator Lisa Boscola this year. Last year, she was pummeled when she primaried popular Bob Freeman for the State House. Since the definition of cRaZy is doing the same thing over and expecting a different result, and since we all know that Taiba is a wackadoodle, I am expecting an announcement from her soon.

As Wilkins reports Sultana savaged Boscola recently because she supports enforcement of our immigration laws, just like former President Barack Obama. Contrary to what some of you believe, there are many Democrats who believe that illegals or undocumenteds (take your pick) should be deported if they have committed serious crimes. I happen to be one of them. But like most Democrats and many Republicans, I don't think ICE should be shooting American citizens in the face in the course of performing their duties. I don't think they should use chokeholds or carotid restraints. And they should be focusing on grabbing real criminals, not some poor dishwasher in the back of a restaurant.

I've noticed a few posts from Sultana is recent days in which she lobs a grenade or two at Boscola. I've also noticed that, on Facebook, she's now "Taiba Sultana for Working Families," even though she herself does not work.

On Instagram, she's @taiba_sultana26. This is another hint that she's running. She also has set up an ActBlue account for donations. Yet another hint.

She'll lose, of course. I have been highly critical of Boscola, who has held office forever. But she's highly popular precisely because her office provides excellent constituent service and she has become one of the State Senate's most powerful members. Sultana, on the other hand, failed to get re-elected in her own South Side Easton district. Running against Boscola in a Democratic primary is a fool's errand. But by now, we all know that's what Sultana is.

Maybe Sultana can get her husband to circulate another nomination petition signed by Boscola, something he actually did when Sultana was running for the state house.

Could a Republican run against her? Sure. Before last year's election, a local Republican told me he would be announcing right after election night. Well, when five Democrats were sept into county council office, he probably changed his mind.

  2. You possibly already know one did, Bernie but you just want acknowledgement of it on this blog and Dems were elected because of the Dems propaganda during the shutdown. Guess all those folks killed, raped, injured by illegals wanted it not to happen either or brutally (as you seem to think ICE is doing).
Problem is that you watch too much CNN, MS, ABC etc. and not the truth. Desperate times, desperate measures. Watch the fun start when NJ votes to be a sanctuary state. Their timing is awful though since Trump will be cutting funding to sanctuary states. Truly is too bad your TDS is so bad. When people break the law by coming here illegally and then continue to break our laws(many times brutally), I’m just happy to have them gone. Perhaps they should move in close to you, Bernie. You’ll be definitely singing a different tune. This gal won’t win but it’ll be amusing to watch Lisa deal with her. No one will be watching Tara today either so please don’t blog about her.

  5. Thanks for remembering the conversation we had before the election. I announced my run for State Senate on Thursday, November 6, in an interview with Gunther Walsh on News Radio 790. Your readers can find out more at ScottJanney.com, including links to the campaign’s social media pages.

    3. Scott also announced at the former tea Party, now Mega, on Jan. 8th. I support Scott over Lisa for all the reasons Scott outlines in his videos. Lisa has been way to pro-government and never has understood the importance for free markets and a reduction of government expansion; big government good Lisa. Scott will work to expand liberty over the dems commitment to total control of all facets of our lives.

    4. Scott, I was unaware of your candidacy and assumed you were having second thoughts bc I did not hear from you after the election as I thought you indicated. I will post about your candidacy on Monday.

You left out the part where a domestic terrorist attempted to run over an enforcement agent with her Honda Pilot. In those cases, I'm comfortable with the Honda Pilot motorist being shot directly in the face. I'm voting for Lisa, who's never called ICE "the Gestapo," as you have to fan flames of violence against LEOs.

  13. A Republican has no shot, especially this year. This seat and Nick Miller's are gerrymandered Dem. Throw in continued poor performance with MIB's plus MAGA only voting when Trump is on the ballot and we have all the makings of another blowout year for D's. Look for Republicans nationally to lose 30-40 House seats and control of the Senate. In PA Dems will expand control of the General Assembly and flip the Senate for the trifecta.

  14. I’m glad Scott Janney has chosen to run. It’s great to see a pro 2a, pro-women’s safety, pro-responsible spending Republican running for PA18. Having a choice is a breath of fresh air.

    2. 7:44: The phrase, "The lesser of two evils" comes to mind.

I'm voting for Lisa in the primary, though. Her husband is the "manager" (not sure of his exact title) of the Bethlehem sewer plant which makes Steel City smell like poop constantly, but those wackos on Lower Saucon Township Council blame the Landfill. Lisa does, too, in order to get the focus off of her husband's management.

Yet, she did practically pass out at a Rolling Stones concert from drinking and I don't believe that she's on the child abuse registry.

I have no information about her being a "crackhead ". I'm hoping that's a metaphor, but she is MAGA cloaked in Democrat clothing.

    4. 1pm: gerrymandering be dawned! Both sides do it. Republicans are better at it. Now, they're more blatant about it.

  18. Lisa Boscola’s voting history shows repeated alignment with Republican leadership on reproductive-rights constitutional amendments and immigration enforcement policy. Voters should judge her by those votes, not by headlines.

  20. Sultana is the purest rendition of the current Democrat Party in the Lehighvalley and nationwide. She is similar in opinion and politics to the Mayors of both Bethlehem and Allentown and to probably 85% of sitting council members in Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton. I give Panto a pass for keeping the Columbus statue overlooking the Delaware River.

When not flipping the bird or sending her kids off to commit crimes, she probably hunts ICE agents with the intent to spit at them.

She is ever so slightly less insane and uncouth than much of Northampton County’s current political administration, and is a better representative of the trends of Democrats nationwide than the mayor of New York or governor of California. She is but an ingredient in that vat of sour soup known as today’s Democrat Party, but will lose to Boscola because she is too stupid to hide who she really is.

  21. Primaries are good and Taiba Sultana would be a good candidate. Boscola hasn't had to face a primary challenge for a long while and has taken many positions over the years that I'm not sure is in line with the democratic party of today.

I support primaries as they're a healthy part of picking a good candidate and keeping career politicians who've coasted to re-election for years having to actually campaign and make the case on what they stand for.

    1. Dylan M, I certainly agree that primaries are a good thing, especially in a democratic government. People should have a choice. But Sultana would be a terrible candidate unless you are Lisa Boscola. I'm sure she'd love to take her on.
