NorCo Council Votes Unanimously To Appoint Matt Deschler as its New Solicitor

I told you yesterday that NorCo Council interviewed Matt Deschler to take over for Chris Spadoni, who is stepping down to open an Italian bakery in Greenland. Deschler went through the ringer and was peppered with numerous questions despite being a superbly qualified attorney. Strangely, at last night's Council meeting, he had to run the gauntlet again, answering pretty much the same questions posed the previous day. I would have changed my answers to throw them off. All's well that ends well. He received the appointment and votes of all nine Council members.

  1. Are we going to have to endure Nadeem’s overreach questions at every meeting now??? Argh!
The good news is that Kraft runs a tight ship and the meetings move along, unlike Vargo Hefner who tried to slow every meeting down as much as she could.
Come to the meetings and be prepared. Be decisive and stop acting like you need to beat dead horses at the Dias. Meetings should be fast and easy especially now that Heckman is gone!!!

  3. Even though Matt's father is connected, Matt knows his stuff and is a good attorney and will do a good job. My bigger concern is does he have enough time to devote to his various jobs? In addition to this job, and to his job at his firm, he is an Assistant Solicitor in Bethlehem, Borough Solicitor in East Bangor, alternate zoning Solicitor in Salisbury Township, zoning Solicitor in Hanover Township, he also represents North Whitehall Township, and he is on the "Conflicts" team in Northampton County. Seems like he is stretched to thin and should give up some of those other jobs.

  4. i think it was Nadeem with his wives talking points, i think she is putting him up to these ridiculous questions and he is too much of a cuck to say no. Let's hope he grows a set and starts acting like a man for the sake of NORCO

  5. Is he too stretched out with other duties that could cause Holland’s question of conflict to occur?
