Taiba Sultana Got Brassy With Wrong Big Easy Easton Brass Band

Yesterday, I told you that soon-to-be former Easton City Council member Taiba Sultana displayed her complete ignorance of the First Amendment ... again. Less than a month ago, she lost a defamation suit over campaign signs calling her "CRAZY, CHAOTIC CRIMINAL."  She could have realized that, in a democratic government, citizens have a right of free speech, especially when it concerns elected officials. She instead attempted on Friday night to con Easton police into filing "harassment" charges against Big Easy Easton Brass Band leader Jeremy Joseph simply because he was critical of her tenure in office. According to Lehigh Valley News, Easton police have decided no charges will be filed because there were no threats or harassment. But this is not the end of it.

Band leader Jeremy Joseph intends to pack Easton City Council on December 10 to celebrate an incoming Council that gets along and is united.

Some of you have suggested he sue her. He has no intention of doing so. He said her punishment is "that she has to be her."

  1. Gary W. Gorman: In this last election, I ran for Lower Saucon Council. No worries. I lost. Anyway, I attended a Democrat petition signing event. Nadeem was there standing alone. I had no idea who he was or who his wife. One of the organizers (Victoria Opthof-Cordaro) said to me, "We support everyone here, except him."

I then, purposely, went over to him, started talking to him about his positions on issues and signed his petition.

Seriously, it felt like High School all over again.

    2. 6:46am- That's not nice. Despite very minor differences we may have, I believe VOC has good intentions and tries her best to do what she believes is best for her constituents. Gary W. Gorman

  2. An angry woman. She seems to be in the center when there is trouble. Is she a citizen?

  3. Much like the disgraceful current POTUS Jeremy Joseph centers cruelty in his efforts to tear down his target. What should have been a coming together and celebration of unity was sullied by JJ's narcissistic efforts to make himself the center of attention. Taiba looked glorious front and center she is much like George Washington leading from the top of the spear it is her signature battling in the trenches, nobody can bully her she is ferocious!

    2. I know neither people but anyone walking in a parade uninvited versus a group of volunteers who work hard and are skilled and kind. Seems like a no brainer to me. She sounds like a not very nice human and I wonder why woman would follow and support her. Making false allegations too make a point is low and points right to that person's character. Or lack of

  5. Sulktana is Easton's Donald Trump. Trump is also crazy, chaotic, and criminal. They are both megalomaniacs who love to be the center of attention. Although, Trump doesn't head-butt his own children so he may be a tad more civil.
