Freddie actually gave his mom a copy of my first story. Youth sports is a very big deal, especially when kids are in high school. Most of my readers like the sports stories, too. I love watching these kids play, and I know how hard they work. Save those arguments for another day. I promise I will post about it down the road, and we can have a great time tearing each other to shreds. Till then, let's appreciate what these kids are doing on both sides of the ball. You do understand that...This is tough to do Bernie. You do understand that recruiting and Catholic Schools do go hand in hand and that is a cold hard fact of life. No one should ever go after the kids. They don't make the rules. The Piaa should be brought to task here, The kids are innocent products of a unfair unsytem. Congratulations to the kids. Shame on the PIAA.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9299655.post-33764824291368095512014-09-21T20:35:41.669-04:002014-09-21T20:35:41.669-04:00I had a lengthy comment to reply, but decided this...I had a lengthy comment to reply, but decided this is not where I want to discuss parochial v. public schools. These posts are for the kids who are playing and the sport they are playing. I understand some of you have strong feelings on any Catholic school that is successful is sports. I will do a post about that at the end of the season. Until then, I ask that you let the kids play and keep it positive if you can. Encourage your own teams if you want. If you go to games on a regular basis and want to submit a report, I'll post it. BOHare5948@aol.com. For now, let us honor these kids who spend untold hours preparing for something that will be over before they know it. This is not indictment on BECAHI but all the parochial schools. Hoping one day that the PIAA segregates the competition between the public and parochial schools on the State level.
