I Never Had Spring Breaks Like This

My grandson Dat is a basketball fanatic and had what had to have been the perfect Spring break for him. On Thursday night, he was in Anaheim to watch the Sooner crush the Aggies in the Sweet Sixteen.

Seeing a game like that would be enough to make any hoops fan happy. But it does not end there. The next night, he watched Kobe Bryant score 28 points for the LA Lakers in a losing effort against the Denver Nuggets.

That should be enough, but it does not end there. After the game, he was allowed to shoot around on the court. And one of the guys he bumped into was NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr...

"Like your do, man."

"No, I like your do."

He's a lucky kid to have an experience like that, and lucky to have you as his devoted grandpa.

It was his aunt who managed to do this. I couldn't even get regular season tickets to Villanova.

Is that Beckman or Beckingham?

Either way, that is a great story and something your grandson will remember all is life. Obviously you are a proud grandfather. As it should be.

It's Beckham. O misspelled the last name. Sorry.

It's Beckham. Correction noted. Beckingham is a poser.

Fantastic story Bernie he is a lucky kid - and is doing something with the luck! Best to Dat as he continues to grow into a young man.

Yeah, He had a pretty neat break. I'm glad his aunt was able to take him. He deserved it.

Unfortunately, I've already had to delete two comments from a bigot.

The hate that fills some people just boggles the mind. This is a good kid doing good things. Let's all just accept that, enjoy it and take the hate somewhere else.

Completely unrelated, but I'm very concerned about what I've noticed lately. I go running in and around Trexler Park. It seems the people in these neighborhood are drinking too much of the city's lead water. How can anyone put a sign up supporting Darth Voter!?!?! How? Surely property values go down when such things are displayed.
