City Council To Ask Fed Ed To Resign

Informed sources tell me that Allentown City Council will seek Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski's at their next meeting. Though he is presumed innocent and has not yet been charged, he no longer has the ability to govern. His legal problems are consuming the City. It is my understanding that all seven members of City Council, including ardent supporters like Candida Affa, think it best for Fed Ed to step aside.

Wow... I'm amazed that this would even be on the table with that band of maroons.

I wonder how many of their votes were bought.

Chris Casey said...

Just because they ask him, it doesn't mean he will do it. I bet he holds a news conference defying them

Chris Casey said...

Also, if any of them are under investigation or end up possibly charged, (Mota) would not their vote of no confidence be hilariously hypocritical?!

By whom? And who would waste their money on a vote that is symbolic and has no teeth?

Hey Ed, Condoms Galore is having a sale so I suggest you stock up on a gross or two. It will save you a lot of money as condoms are a commodity behind bars and are currently trading for a Ramen beef flavor.

You may want to practice up with your gay friends, they're there to guide you!

Any truth to the rumor that Fed Ed is scheduled to address the no confidence vote at a presser at Shula's?

Word has it that Council will also pass a resolution requiring barn doors be closed after a horse escapes.

Hey B.O, correct me if I am wrong, but when they accept and take a plea deal, when they are sentenced, the judge orders them to allocute Give a public confession) to what happened. Or is that part of the evidence entered against them at presentencing hearing? I would appreciate if you could set me straight on that.

Dirty filthy rats, I hope they all suffer in prison...

"By whom?"
I believe the FBI has that list.

Mota should be changed with terminal stupidity.

They could do the honorable thing and submit their collective resignations.
Wouldn't that be outstanding?

I witnessed a plea deal and sentencing. There was nothing out of the defendant's mouth except "I am guilty" until the sentencing. I don't know of the judge "orders" it, but the defendant is given an opportunity to speak, and the smart defendant will show some contrition as part of getting a favorable sentence. My guy mumbled something about how he lost everything too (Ponzi schemer), but did manage to very briefly say he was sorry. It was empty words.

I wouldn't expect a lengthy confession of sins.

Bernie O'Hare said...

Chris, the comment above expresses what happens. The Judge must be sure the Defendant is knowingly and volunTarily entering into a plea, and will ask a number of questions to satisfy himself or herself that this is the case. At sentencing, the defendant will have an opportunity to mitigate what has happened by pointing to the good he's done in other areas.

Bernie, you've been following this closely. Do you expect others to go down before the big guy, or is it too hard to tell? Can't keep track of all the players and references to Official or Donor #1, #2 etc. Thanks.

Bernie O'Hare said...

The big guy, as you call him, is their main target. But these things take on a life of their own. If he pleads, he may give up several others. if he doesn't, the feds will prosecute them and him on RICO charges. i also believe there are several cooperating witnesses inside City hall, and that Fleck is not the only person who was wearing a wire.

Anonymous said...

Fran the flamer assisted him all this time he should go down too, will fit in great

Anonymous said...

If you look at the list that the feds published the companies should give an indication of what department of the city they were working in. Amy trap hired the benefits company that was giving kickbacks.

There is a time for all people who wish to retain their honor to say good bye when their actions have so entered the grey area that they have taken the appearance of being part of the dark force. This happens in world governments, as well as national governments, state governments and local governments. Next Wednesday City Council will vote on a resolution of no confidence for the Mayor. The Mayor of Allentown ought to take the hint and say good bye to the people of Allentown whom once trusted him.

Anonymous said...

Because they met at LVBCH and saved the city OVER $100,000 on medical benefits...what kickbacks are those? That's just good business.

Anonymous said...

LVBCH for those of us not so cool what does this stand for?

Chris, comments from Koval's attorney are a good enough example of allocution to me.

The Banker

Chris Casey said...

Thanks guys, just got home from Amazon and started reading the comments. Koval's attorney trying to encourage others to do the right thing says a lot, BUT.... I can't help but think he is just trying to put his client in the best light possible, and in that sense, he is doing a great job for her.
I would like to believe she did panic at the FBI raid, and after a few days, realized she had been duped so she did the right thing and cooperated. Good for her.

Now if only the Edster would buck up, and end this agony.

I am still betting he will have to be dragged from that office in leg irons. That is one PERP walk I want to see.

Anonymous said...

Sell tickets to the perp walk, make a fortune!

Anonymous said...

When does City Counsel give its "Full Confidence" vote for Schlossberg?

Chris Casey said...

Yes, I will start a "Go Fund Me" page to set up tickets selling for the Perp Walk. If I can get them to arrest the mayor during a tour of the PPL Arena that would be most advantageous. I'm thinking basic seating $500, Vip seats $1000, and Prime Booster seats $5000. kind of like a Senate fundraiser. I will be encouraging "Bundling" Any takers?!

"Fran the flamer assisted him all this time he should go down too, will fit in great"

First, the sexual orientation of the managing Director is completely irrelevant to this and most topics. Second, most people with these homophobic tendencies are repressing their own homosexuality. Third, I have heard no evidence anywhere and at any time that implicates Dougherty or, for that matter, Hailstone, in any criminal behavior. I suspect both are cooperating witnesses.

It's time to end this ridiculous "strong mayor" charter in Allentown, and it's time for some good old fashioned neutral oversight in the NIZ. Is that so much to ask for now?

reliable said...

6:39am that's funny the budget shows costs increasing 1.5 million since they came on board. The kickbacks went to the mayors campaign/defense fund.

Monkey Mama the oversight issue with the NIZ is a state issue, not a local matter.

I agree, it's one of the many flaws that has to be rectified.

Anonymous said...

Chris, why in the world are you starting a "go fuck me" page? Good Lord that sounds funny but really!

Anonymous said...

What benefits will Ed D walk away with? Pension, sick days, personal days, 401'campaign funds, etc. WoW

Anonymous said...

Fran sent the thugs out from Codes and other city departments out to shake down low hanging fruit.
He also issued directives to Asst. Solicitors.
He was Ed go to in-house guy.
He's dirty as the day is long.
A totally in the loop player.
Totally.
100%.

Chris Casey said...

Uh, I was joking about the page. It is kind of scary that you didn't get that.

But I hear there is a nutjob asking people to give her money because she blew a bunch on Powerball tickets. Go help her

Bernie O'Hare said...

I see. And you have told all this to the FBI? Have provided actual facts instead of "dirty as the day is long" conclusions? Throughout this entire ordeal, I've only seen one incident that to me is questionable. I doubt I share his views of the city and know I don't share his allegiance to Fed Ed, but I don't believe in just bashing someone without cold, hard facts. Where are yours?

Anonymous said...

In the fullness of time Fran's role will be revealed.
Ed couldn't have run the asylum without Fran.
He's the ultimate City Hall insider.
As for communication with the FBI, that question is better left unanswered.

Bernie O'Hare said...

The answer is that you have done nothing but sit in your underwear to peck away anonymously at a keyboard and make wild allegations. Not even one fact. What a brave soul you are!

Anonymous said...

The answer will present itself in the sweet bye and by.

Anonymous said...

If Mr Ed stays in office do the taxpayers have to pay his legal fees?

Bernie O'Hare said...

No. He has to use personal funds, but may his his campaign funds for that purpose. Once that well runs dry, which should not take long at all, that's when he will have to think seriously about pleading. I think his Washington lawyers are milking him until tehn and don't give a shit what impact this has on the rest of the city.
