Hartzell Sole Dem to Win Seat on Lehigh County Board of Comm'rs

Though Vic Mazziotti may have lost, Wayne Woodman's establishment team is alive and well in Lehigh County. With the exception of Dan Hartzell, Republicans swept.

What a shame Woodman could buy the whole affair.

Poor Vic. To have to stand there and accept a humiliating defeat while Amanda gets in with that blank stare. I hear Marty isn't real into things thatt much and Brad has to moderate somewhat to be electable as exec down the road. The bigger question is without Vic and Lisa, who directs the puppet Schware

Setting his nasty temperament aside, Vic at least understood County finances. Holt works hard but gets so far into the weeds it would take a search party a week to find her. An example is her amendment to cut spending from $4,000 to $1,000 in a line item for one department. Great to cut spending but in a $360 million budget that's what you find and spend time on? The suspicion is that Marty is a closet "wine and cheese" RINO like Percy. We shall see, don't you think. That is if Marty doesn't lose interest and quit or have to go because of his built in conflict of interest with the County owned velodrome. Time will tell on both of these. And given their past history, the Woodman/Osborne relationship is a classic shotgun wedding that will soon lead to a nasty breakup. As a matter of fact I think Brad has already filed the divorce papers but will wait until Lisa is off the Board before they are filed.

Of course he did, Bernie. After all, ole Road Warrior can never say he couldn't find the road to government. HA.

Far more serious is Kraft Foods leaving the Valley. Where were all the expensively paid government and quasi-government officials that are suppose to encourage and keep business and industry here doing as Kraft was packing up its cheese cartons?

The irony of Kraft leaving was the fact that Lehigh V alley leaders in the 50's failed to get a government sponsored medical facility so they worked hard to bring in other industries like Kraft and Schaeffer Beer ... And with this interest they worked with Weisenberg to get built a Pre-Treatment plant and with that they solicited Joe Daddona to get a wastewater sewer line out to the Lehigh County Authority Pre-treatment Plant... A failure in the system from effluent from Kradt and Schaeffer Beer cause problems in Allentown and caused wastewater and storm sewer surcharges into the Little Lehigh and cause malevolent odors to drift over an increasing larger section of Allentown ... That was the recent that I who never was elected to any municipal position but really should have been so went to then Allentown Mayor Joe Daddona's official with Harrison Forker to remind him of a campaign pledge by presenting him with a sleeping bag ... I also called for building of a rest home on Kline's Island for all retired political hacks and their cronies.

Let's rename every Civil War monument after the affable hack, Daddona.

And within the borders of this interest they worked with Arthur Weisenberg to get built a Pre-Treatment plant and with that they solicited then City Councilman and head of the Public Works Dept Joe Daddona to get a wastewater sewer line out to the Lehigh County Authority Pre-treatment Plant... A failure in the system from effluent from Kraft and Schaeffer Beer caused problems in Allentown and caused wastewater and storm sewer surcharges into the Little Lehigh and caused malevolent odors to drift over an increasing larger section of Allentown ... In an article in the Lehigh Valley Common Sense Harold through the device of a mystical sleeping bag I called for the building of a rest home on Kline's Island for all retired political hacks and their cronies to reside in the footprint of the then existing malodorous odors at the plant..
