Embattled Fed Ed Still Wants to Take Over ASD

Allentown Mayor Edwin "Fed Ed" Pawlowski was at the Allentown City Democratic Committee meeting on Monday night. He was trying to figure out how City Dems could support a school candidate like Mark Smith. He's a Democrat, but only captured the Republican party nomination in the primary. State rules bar a Democratic committee from endorsing a candidate who is not a Democratic nominee. They decided to include an attachment to their endorsement materials noting that Mark Smith is a Democrat.

Fed Ed also spoke strongly against Bob Smith, the current president of the Allentown school board. Bob Smith is a Republican who captured both his party and the Democratic nomination. He talked the party out of endorsing Bob Smith. He claimed that Bob Smith is "not in the right mind."

In 2010, Bob Smith was seriously injured when he tried to thwart a suicide attempt by a patient from the roof of Mount Trexler Manor. He wrapped both arms around this mentally ill woman, but she hurled herself off the roof anyway, taking Bob with her. He suffered two broken arms and various contusions, but no brain injury.

The real reason Pawlowski wants Bob Smith off the Board is because Bob went public when Pawlowski recently attempted to bully the school district into picking up the entire tab for school crossing guards.

Pawlowski, who is up to his eyeballs in a federal investigation into his pay-to-play practices, is now publicly maligning a selfless man who suffered serious injuries in saving someone's life.

And he claims to be a Christian.

But he's a graduate of the Moody Bible College.

Fed Ed should be lying low and we should not hear a peep from him about ANY political issue. He is on thin ice and it is cracking. Soon the Penguin will be exiled to a chilly cell in Lewisburg, Pa. Until then, NO ONE wants his stinkin' opinion of ANY candidate, good or bad.

There are only 7 candidates for 5 seats.

Bernie, we know you are dying to replace the photoshop of King Edwin's robe with striped pajamas!

"replace the photoshop of King Edwin's robe with striped pajamas!"

Now we think Holocaust jokes are funny? What a sick group of haters you all are.

Nobody is making a Holocause joke. I would have deleted any such "humor" and if I missed it, would be taken to task by my Jewish friends. The reference to stiped pajamas is obviously a reference to a prison suit. Your own hatred is causing you to make unwarranterd logical leaps.

Well said. Persona non grata.

Does 4:49 have his head up his ass? Of course I meant a prison suit. What kind of demented fool would think I meant the holocaust? Pawlowski is hardly Jewish.

Was Mark Smith there? Did he actually accept Chicago Eddy's aid? If so, did he (Mark Smith) have any words of thanks or the like?

Ewe, I see FedEd front and center on lvlive grinning at the opening of the Morman I mean Moravian book shop.

How can anyone touch him? Again, ewe! The man will be in a federal penitentiary with convicts looking for new cell mates to romp this time next year. FedEd will be down on all fours begging for mercy and I for one will have no pity for him. A citizens worst fear, political corruption in their community.

LOL..that Henry the Eighth portrait is speaking eloquently for Ed P's character.

Bob Smith is a singular man, for sacrificing his health for a stranger, for the rest of his life. That was amazing. Can't believe anyone has a thing to say against him.

God this is a charming town.

No one has to worry about corruption in the Christmas City. The care taker administration would actually have to do something before they could be corrupt. Can you spell "asleep at the wheel"?

4:49 is just a typical troll, or a simple village idiot.

All,

Not supporting anyone here, but for the record, there is a 2008 book for young adults titled, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, by Irish novelist John Boyne. The book is used in Holocaust study units in school districts around here. My now adult children would immediately think striped pajamas means someone in a Nazi concentration camp as that book was their introduction to Holocaust literature. They also read The Book Thief. The Boy in the Striped PJs book was made into a movie in 2008. Any student who was taught that Holocaust unit or any parent who had the book brought home night after night would probably think NAZI, not regular prison. I think it is a generational thing. Prison uniforms today are probably thought of a Safety Orange.
