Judge Beltrami's Section 230 Ruling Ripples to California Law School

In a recent case involving yours truly, Judge Anthony Beltrami ruled that a blogger is generally immune from liability for anonymous comments posted there, thanks to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. His decision was quickly picked up by The Legal Intelligencer, and now has rippled to The Santa Clara University School of Law. Professor Eric Goldman, who is Co-Director of the High Tech Law Institute, has linked to the full opinion,

Professor Goldman also blogs for Forbes.

How about Pat Browne wiping out on his Harley again? Hope the Irish curse wasn't involved again. Not much room for error operating a motorcycle under the influence.

I did have a story but took it down. It was intended as humor, but maybe I should not be laughing at him.

Probably not. Sounds like the injuries are serious.

It looks like he's up and around and out of danger. He emerged from the suburban tax grab NIZ wreck unscathed. He'll not be so lucky this time. It's time for him to resign.

By the way, what about the original discussion: YES, a blogger should not be responsible for what someone posts in the comments below the blog post.
