Rockne Newell's Politics

From Rockne Newell's Public Facebook page
Rockne Newell, who last night allegedly began shooting up a public meeting until his gun was wrestled away, stands charged with killing three people and wounding several others.  His public Facebook page provides some insight into his political views.

He claims to have voted for Obama, but was upset by his stance on marijuana. "Re Police State I voted for Barry the guy who was the life of the pot parties not Barack Hussein Obama who champions religious laws like anti choice anti pot laws, boy did I get fooled! How many of you read his response to the legalize pot petition? What a lame bunch of BS!"

He supported the elimination of "armed guards" to protect the President, VP and their families.

He opposed gun control. "Gun Control is not crime control! Gun control will not reduce violent crime! Muder [sic] even mass muder [sic] existed long before guns!"

He supported the Second Amendment. "I stand for the Second Amendment, you can have your sheep herders God! most of the Bombings of civilian's in the 20-21 century have been over God! he who can Murder more people in the name of their God wins! if there was a God do you think he, she, it would stand for it? after all a God could do his own killings! the only other explanation is your God is as insane as some of his followers! so if you pray, pray its the former rather then the latter!"

He claims to raise free range chickens, seems to detest Republicans, is anti-fracking and pro-regulation. he wanted to save the sea otters.

I must be crazy too

I am not saying his political views are crazy. I am just saying what they are. I thought it would be worth a post. They are different, but certainly are not crazy.

I don't understand how the man essentially lived in a shack yet posting regularly on Facebook. He also posted about the Veronica Mars kickstarter project. I'm not entirely convinced this is the correct Facebook account for this guy.

I was not either, until I saw the link from his fundraising site.

maybe his sons fb?

Bernie O'Hare said...

I do not think so. His fundraising page is here.

It links directly to his facebook page.

I should say the "contact me" picture is identical to the profile picture on his F/B page.

How on earth is he a case for gun control Bernie? By all accounts it seems the guy legally owned what he had and snapped. What law is going to prevent that from happening??

Look at he guy in Venice Beach who drove hi car into a crowd of people killing someone. If its going to happen, no law is going to stop it.

He is an argument for giving municipalities the right to ban guns inside their buildings, especially during a public meeting. He is an argument for an armed police officer at every public meeting. That would prevent this tragedy from happening again.

If Gilberton fires Chief Kessler they better hire a couple cops. That guy is scary

It's too bad Rockne didn't setup a gofundme account like Kessler. He could of made enough money to clean his property up in about one week. The last time I checked the Chief is up to 2300 in four days.

I can't say I agree with you on this point, Bernie. It's already illegal to shoot people and commit murder, but that obviously didn't stop this guy. I highly doubt making it illegal to carry firearms into municipal buildings under threat of being fined or even jailed is going to make murderous nutcases think twice.

And, while I disagree with the ludicrous idea that more guns are the answer, making people (who are sane and have a LTCF) disarm themselves and say, leave their weapon in the car to say, pay their sewer bill or taxes, just leaves more unattended weapons lying around to possibly be stolen by people who shouldn't have them.

Yeah, those with a LTCF could just leave the guns at home (where they will again be unattended, though any responsible gun owner would have them safely locked away), but that eventually gets to be a burden on law-abiding gun owners, and does nothing to stop criminals or prevent criminality.

Just MHO.

The guy sounds like a "poor man's" version of Ron Angle. They say the same over the top things.

How could such a man have voted for Obama? his views are so perfectly Republican

Anonymous said...

Because Obomber lies like most bought politicians. They're never held accountable and should sign a sworn statement before taking office.

Which one is for shooting nut bags who barge into township meetings with guns ablaze? - nlv

Listen , normal people are going go "off the reservation" before Obama is done applying Fabian socialism. This administration will drive some people off the wall ,because there will no last resort for some.I personally feel sorry for people that have minded their own business and some government deal has pushed them over the edge.

This issue is not about any LTCF what so ever. Statistics have shown that carry permit people HAVE NOT violated common laws even as much as licensed police officers as a group or class in this country! Debate me.

So I was watching a show called Las Vegas lockup and they brought this young drunk kid in for processing. He's hammered and can't keep his balance while they have him pushed into a wall spread eagle. He's not resisting but they decide to taze him and while he's screaming they full his mouth full of mase

So he gets cuffed and dragged into a holding cell left on the floor. They didn't rinse his face or have a nurse check him for injuries. He couldn't even rinse off in the toilet bowl because they left him cuffed up. Welcome to the new USA!

Bernie O'Hare said...

To me, the new USA isd a dark world where crazy people go to schools and shoot innocent children,go to movie theatres and shoot innocent teenagers, and go to public meetings and shoot innocent adults. And bc the NRA has brainwashed you and has bought the legislature, the popular remedy is to get even more guns. Welcome to the new US indeed.

I have deleted a totally irrelevant comment from Mezzacappa, posting as "OneBlockDown." She files a PFA against me, but thinks nothing of coming here and complaining about irrelevant matters. And then she wonders why I call her cRaZy.

Im not a gun nut, just making light on how crazy things are getting. I have a conceled permit and never felt the need to carry even living in center city. I think guns should be regulated or at least mental health evaluations before a purchase. Im not a nra member either, just voicing my view of the USA.
Thanks

I think if the Sands can ban guns inside their casino, a local government should have every right to ban guns inside its buildings.

Edgar,

the tyranny of corrupt local governments extends well beyond those serving as elected officials and their bootlicking minimum wage servants. The mainstream media have proven time and time again to be biased towards those who "uphold" the law and overlook reasonable and well formed criticism from the citizens they are allegedly trying to inform.

Now if the MSM is conducting themselves in such a self interested and dishonest manner imagine what rogue bloggers with serious mental issues are doing to quash dissent? This blog is a volcano of hate and spin, hell bent on taking away people's liberty and shifting the country towards Hussein Obama's twisted vision of globalism and a new world order.

Good luck on your lawsuits, they are going to cost you more than printer paper.

I think we should commit to making the strictest gun laws possible. Then there would be no more shootings in schools, or movie theaters, or any other public place. We would be completely safe...like Mexico...or better yet, China.

Bernie, how can I get one of the posters picture above? The people that are voted in to protect us only harrass and defame us to blow themself up literly by looking at most of there guts for there age! There gluttonous self indulgence just grows as time as the clock ticks and there time is up, and they havn't done a single thing with the publics intrests first and formost in there actions for there appointment at hand¿

CSF member is Tricia Mezzacappa, and as usual, is bat-shit cRaZy. Tricia, instead of blaming everyone else for your problems, try looking at a mirror, if you haven't cracked it yet. The person who has been clearing forests with paper for lawsuits is you. Seven complaints to the DA? Six attempts to have a TRO entered against me? Down in flame on every one of them? You are insane, and you do not have a job because no employer in his right mind would want the trouble you would bring. Even without the Internet, your own checkered employment history makes that clear. And now, you are beginning to pick up criminal convictions. Your mother and sisters must be so proud of you. Do they have any idea that you are regarded as poson here?

Maybe trish should fire up her blog

Bernie O'Hare said...

Now that she fell flat on her face with her PFA, she'll be doing so, unless she has a job application under consideration.

I know you don't delete posts often but you should play her game too.

Bernie O'Hare said...

I'm not sure whether you mean posts or comments. i do not delete posts, even if I am dead wrong. I will keep it up, acknowledge my error and face the music. I think I owe that to my readers. I have deleted some posts after they published, when I think they hurt good people more than whatever point I am trying to make.

I delete comments often, and sometimes, I must admit I do it just bc I am sick of the constant anonymous personal attacks.

I am not sure whether you are referring to my posts or the comments, and what it is that I should do more often. But if i were doing something she does, I think it would be a step down.

The better bloggers have thick skin and will allow comments that are critical of the writer. MM is a little less tolerant than I, not bc he can't take a punch, but bc he detests the language and name-calling indulged in by some commenters. One of his good features is that, unlike me, he does not have to have the last word. I feel compelled to engage nearly everyone, and maybe I should not. I don't know.

Reporters do not engage their readers, probably rationalizing that it compromises their objectivity. I note that the ET writers will engage if it involves something factual. The MC reporters do not. I think a little chatter is good for them, their readership, and the truth. But that's their call.

People like Mezzacappa and the Fake Rev won't tolerate anything that does not parrot them. They think everything else comes from me, even though I will not comment on their blogs. Ever.

Geeting is pretty good about accepting criticism, but he gets few comments bc it is next to impossible to leave a comment there.

LVCI is fairly thin-skinned and is basically a regurgitation blogger, as is Geeting. Nothing really original from either of them. LVCI would be the more decent of the two. Geeting is a partisan and fairly nasty. I'm not a partisan, but am nasty.

Sorry to go on.

Her comments should be deleted like she does to everyone on her blog. If you don't give her a platform she'll start the footprint backup

What's the over/under on Mezzacappa going "Newell"? Newell's stuff online seem tame compared to T.M.'s.

My guess is she gets arrested before labor Day. Officials are on to her and her games. Maybe that's why she moves here from Jersey. Some day I will have to research what really prompted her sudden departure.

"Your mother and sisters must be so proud of you."

I think T. Mezzacappa's mother was employed by the state of NJ. I think one of her sisters is a career prosecutor for the state of NJ. Her deceased father was an attorney for the federal government. Tricia herself had the advantage of a Jesuit education at a fine university and also has a license to practice nursing. That's what makes her incessant, paranoid rants against authority so hard to understand. She seems to pride herself on being an angry, disgruntled misfit (with guns & ammo). I can't figure out what makes her tick or why she chooses to waste her life as she is doing. Her decision to take up the cause of an "innocent" child rapist is a case in point. Very sad.
