Gross Family Endorses Reibman

In the latest announcement from the Glenn Reibman camp, he has added endorsements for Executive from several local officials. These include Bangor Area School Board Director Frank Addessi, N. Catasauqua Council member Cherie D. Gebhardt and West Easton Mayor Gerald Gross and Council Prez Kelly Gross. His local endorsements now stand at 25.

“It’s inconsequential to me how big or how small these communities are, " claims Reibman. "They are proud communities and they all are part of Northampton County, and they all play a role in what makes this County strong, productive, and a great place to live, work, and play.”

With Mr. Reibman eposing the Callahan record for what it is, if the election were to ne held tomorrow Mr. Reibman would win.

The latest poll numbers back that up##

Bernie O'Hare said...

Sure they do. His campaign smacks of desperation.

Thought the Gross`s were reasonable people ? Yikes !

no, they do not.

just stop...

And here I thought the Gross Family had some common sense. Maybe Mezzakkkappa isn't completely off base. Supporting Reibman indicates severe mental retardation or an appalling absence of ethics. Maybe it's the water over there.

Next big endorsement: president of the Upper Mt. Bethel zoning board!

News Flash - Reibman gets the endorsement from Spanky of the Little Rascals He-Man Woman Haters Club! Now that should push Callahan and McClure out of the race!

Borough of Chapman where are you?

Once again--none of the cantidates are worthwhile---Time to start a write-in campaign SAL PANTO for county exec

"Maybe Mezzakkkappa isn't completely off base."

6:41 AM, its a free country. If that's what you think, you will have the opportunity to vote for Mezzacappa on election day. Your comment about "severe mental retardation" is inappropriate. Maybe you need to examine your own ethics.

Anonymous said...

Nah. Supporting Reibman indicates low intellect. The comment stands. And ethics? With Reibman? Seriously?

In his endorsement, Mayor Gross complains that everyone forgets about tiny West Easton. How ironic that the person who defeated Reibman is the person who helped that borough. Reibman is the man who ignored West Easton for 8 years before Stoffa came along, and who has been bitter the last 8 years over his loss. He is the one running a dirty, desperate campaign. What a way to express a desire for good government What a way to express gratitude to the Exec who actually did something for them.

Mike Fleck is the second coming of Mike Solomon. He'll end up the same way, too. He'll get so full of himself, and so greedy that he'll push the boundaries of legality and end up getting caught and make a bunch of pols and labor unions look like fools for ever listening to anything he says. Just another home grown sleaze bag attached to Reibman. And Lehigh Valley pols and unions fall for Fleck's self-promoting con job like a bunch of mindless sheep. This is exactly why the Lehigh Valley will always be a backwater in PA politics.

Um, Bernie, if I'm not mistaken John Stoffa is not a choice on the ballot this upcoming primary... so what's your point?

Did I miss something? When did Johnny Casino help out the Borough of West Easton?

Go McClure !!!

Anonymous said...

Just because Stoffa is pushing Johnny Callahan that is no reason for West Easton to back him. Don't be a hater.

Word is that the wonen at the Apollo and the Edge will endorse Callahan. Maybe eventhe the senior class at Liberty may endorse him as well.

Bernie O'Hare said...

1) Stoffa is not backing anyone,.

2) Glenn Reibman, as County Exec, ignored West Easton. He is very bitter after losing his bid for a third term. The person who defeated Reibman, John Stoffa, paid attention to West Easton. Officials there show their gratitude by backing a man who hates the one man who actually paid attention to them.

Anonymous comments like these say a lot about Callahan's opponents. They are nasty, vindictive people who will be terrible in public office.

Yo Ohare,
You must been worried about your candidate. What West Easton has 50 voters show up on a non- presidential year? oooooooooooooooooooooooooh noooooooooooooo

Go McClure!!!

O'Hare:
I personally like Stoffa, Reibman and Callahan. They each have their critics and supporters. But to the point of your comment at 2:09 PM: In what way did Reibman ignore the small Borough of West Easton and in what way did Stoffa pay attention to it? Please be specific.

Anonymous said...

Reibman was going to pay attention to West Easton. But he accidentally fell asleep.

Sincerely,
Eagerly Awaiting The Chapman Endorsement

Bernie O'Hare said...

2:17, It's nice to know McClure is so dismissive of about 100, not 50 votes.

I also find this endorsement problematic. John Stoffa praised mayor Gross when the WE Treatment Center opened last October. What happened since then? Maybe that project has not turned out the way WE envisioned it? Were promises broken? Is Atiyeh part of their dissatisfaction? Something is amiss and hopefully the reason for their displeasure comes out or is addressed by the candidates running for executive. So far as I know..only Glenn has spoken about his plans for the jail and related issues.

Anonymous said...

Stoffa made the WE project happen after the defeats in Beth. Twsp. with the help of Atiyeh and the cooperation of WE boro government. What don't you understand here?

Anonymous said...

Actually Abe A. amd west easton made it happen. As usual
Stoffa happened to be along for the ride. The guy has done nothing but bankrupt the county, try and dump Gracedale and acquired more needless buildings.

Someomne point him to the door during one of his aimless wanderings through the courthouse.

Anonymous said...

You are wrong on this one. John Stoffa did this by sheer will. I disagree with him on things at times but WE was not a mistake and he persevered. It took all the parties involved to do it.

Anonymous said...

OK John, it weas all you. You wanted Beth. Twp. and screwed that up., Fortunatley, Abe took the lead with West Easton and it happend. Go buy some more uneeded buildings.

And Frank Addessi is the biggest jerk on BASD school board. A "moved-in-from-outside-the-area-but-knows-everything" douche.

News Flash! Reibman endorsed by the manager of Panera's Bread on 512 and the guy who changes my oil at the local Valvoline. He is a political juggernaut! Give him another 5,000 volts at Frankenstein's castle and turn him loose for another 4 years destroying Northampton County!

Anonymous said...

He is still better on his worse day than Stoffa ever was. Talk about dead men walking. Show Frankenstein the exit, please!

Anonymous said...

Stoffa is not backing anyone. Therefore, how could he be offended if another elected Democrat decides to endorse Reibman? If the endorsement was for the Republican candidate, I could understand criticism within the party. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't know why this is a controversy. Endorsements often are about personal relationships with candidates more than anything else.

The next desperate endorsement will come from Heckman for Reibman. Reibman is calling in all his chips. Isn't it odd that Reibman's old staff hasn't endoresed him yet. Stand by. it's coming.

Bernie O'Hare said...

Then you must be naive. Stoffa is the anti-Reibman. If thsoe two touch, the universe will disintegrate. Reibman has spent the past 8 years bashing Stoffa at every turn. Stoffa knows this, but is too classy to retaliate. Endorsing Reibman, after Stoffa is the guy who helped you, is a slap across his face.

Anonymous said...

"If those two touch, the universe will disintegrate."

I think you are being overly dramatic, O'Hare. Stoffa is not running. For Democrats the choice is either Reibman or Callahan or McClure. They all have their supporters and detractors. You support Callahan and that's fine. I respect your opinion, but where do you get off trying to dictate to others what they should or shouldn't do?

Bernie O'Hare said...

I am not dictating what others should do. You are more than welcome to endorse a person who did nothing for you, and who has spent the past 8 years insulting the only exec who bothered to pay attention to W Easton. You are also endorsing a candidate who is engaged in dirty campaigning, to the point where he uses look-alikes to deceive voters. That says something about you. Knock yourself out.

Anonymous said...

Hey O'Hare see Lamonts latest piece, he used the real drunk Callahan picture kissing his beer stein. Go Lamont! I don't know were he is getting all the money to send all his mailers but he gave Callahan a real shot with the facts.

Between Reibman and McClure, old Johnny Casino will be in double digit negatives within a week.

Get out the facts. You and Stoffa's boy is going down.

Bernie O'Hare said...

You want me to get out the facts, while you lie. First, Stoffa has not endorsed anyone. Callahan is not his boy. Second, the picture of Callahan kissing a mug is not a shot of him drunk. But Maclure (that's how you spell his name) red hue is an indication that he likes to throw them down.

Anonymous said...

All this nonsense over who endorsed whom is silly. None of the three Dem's running for county Executove are anyhting to write home about.

Reibman, enough said. MacClure, "who?". Callahan, the last time he ran county wide, Dent trounced him worse in Northampton County than he did old Dertinger. Sorry but these guys and their kissass groupies should focus on their own campaigns and not worry about who the council candidates support or like. Sound s like freaking gradeschoiol.

The only thing that will help the eventual survovor of the county executive primary bloodbath is having a strong ticket with good name recognition and reputation. The exec hopeful better hope guys like Heckman ans Seyfried are at the top of the County Council ticket to draw voiters. Sorry boys, whomever the county executive candidate is, no one is going to care. You are all flawed as Hell, like it or not.

As a Democrat I hope Heckman and Seyfried are at the top of the ticket. Hunter will do well too.
She has to stop bragging about coming in seventh out of ten people, four years ago. That would be a big loss, the county could care less. She is vigorously pushed by Callahan and Walt Garvin but frankly, don't see her as a draw in the Fall. The others, who again??

If we as Dem's don't want a repeat of 2009, we better have a couple headliners in the race and not self proclaimed heroes.

I don't live in West Easton. I'm not an elected official, and I didn't endorse anyone. I was simply making a general comment about this endorsement situation, which you decided to write about on your blog. Why are you taking it so personally? Geez.

Sure you don't, and sure you aren't. That's why you're here, on a Saturday night, checking.

I am a registered Democrat, living in Bethlehem Township. I work in Easton. If you don't think I should be visiting your blog on a Saturday night, I won't do it anymore. Why does everything have to be so personal with you?

Anmon 8:21, BINGO!!!

I doubt the Dem leadership sees it that way but you are right.

When you remain anonymous, I am entitled to draw the conclusions I deem appropriate. And when you are subjected to the number of personal attacks that are daily inflicted here, you'll have a better understanding. I do not trust any comments posted on a Saturday night.
