Commw Ct: NorCo Properly Fired Children's Caseworker

Stefano Kiniropoulos, a caseworker at NorCo's Children's Integrated Services Unit, was fired in 2010. He was neglecting his required monthly visits to children and padding his travel log. He falsified records and basically stole from the County.

The Commonwealth Court has just issued a ruling in which Judge Rochelle Friedman concludes there is more than ample evidence to justify the termination.

And this is news how? People have been fired from the county for things for years.

Your need to post a prominent thread about serves exactly what purpose? Oh I know it was done to highlight John Stoffa's successful war on employees. Other Administrations sadly carried out that duty, you boys enjoy it.

Good for John.

You are missing the point. This was an employee that was stealing from the employer who is ultimately the taxpayers of NORCO. To allow this is to invite others to do the same. Had this employee pervailed this would have cost taxpayers (throughout PA) even more. If this had not been challenged by the administration, then the taxpayers could have a complaint.

Bernie, give us some real news. Find out why Judge Zito felt it was more important to finish arraignments last Thursday and potentially jeopardize the lives of employees when he and Onembo ordered Stoffa to open the Courthouse. Or find out why "bomb expert" Mateff deemed the 1st floor safe.

Gee, Maybe you should call Deputy Bachik and ask him to investigate. Or better yet, call Barron von Footinmouth. I'm sure he can solves this mystery.

"And this is news how?"

When someone in county employment attempts to rip off the taxpayers and is fired, and then takes the matter all the way to the Commonwealth Court, and loses there, I think the public has a right to know. In fact, I think the public should know.

Bernie, agree 100%. An example should be made.

County has a lot of people like this, especially those who are on the road or work in places oustside of the government center.

Emergency Management is one of the biggest offenders. Try and find any of the leadership outside of 911 on a regular basis and you would be hard pressed. They use emergencies as a license to never work and think because they are located in Nazareth that they are not part of the county government. Even getting them to return a nonemergency phone call is a challenge.

And the politicans will never call them on it because it is not politically correct. If the elected officials had any guts and started to ask the local volunteers, they would tell them how poorly NCEMS is really viewed.

I know several people in Emergency Management and think your statement is absolutely false. There would be nothing politically incorrect in calling them on this if it were true. I think you are lying. Anonymous comments like this, with absolutely no evidence, are nonsense.

You clearly have never needed anything from them. Common knowledge Mateff doesn't even return calls. Or maybe they have because they do not want to be in your crosshairs.

Like I said, you are (a) anonymous and (b) providing no evidence. This is an unfounded anonymous accusation. Provide evidence.

No need to. They will read it here and they know it is true. We are fed up and we are going to get more vocal. At some point, their inaction will be a huge problem. And then it will be obvious.

You claim they will read it and know it is true. What about the rest of us? What about the pols you also attacked for doing nothing? It seems more likely to me that you have some personal vendetta or grudge than any factual basis for your claim. That is the danger of anonymous comments. It allows cowards like you to make claims you would never own publicly.
