Who's Worse, Lobbyist or Blogger?

Tough one, isn't it?

Kinda' like Sodom and Gomorrah.

On the one hand, you have people like ... well ... me. Narcissistic, self-absorbed, lower than whale shit. Bottom feeders like me make reporters, who used to be considered pond scum, look pretty good.

Then there's lobbyists, Senators and Congressmen who got a promotion.

If we were both drowning and you could only save one of us, would you go out for breakfast or get a haircut?

Express Times' reporter Colin McEvoy, in his story about the Browne lobbying scandal, features a lobbyist snarking bloggers, followed by a blogger bashing a lobbyist.
[Lobbyist Rocco] Pugliese suggested the blogosphere was attempting to make an issue out of nothing.
"Bloggers are bloggers, and they can say whatever they want to say," he said. "It's freedom of speech, but quite candidly, what they are alleging is completely inaccurate and categorically untrue."
O'Hare said Pugliese's statement is what he would expect from a lobbyist "used to dealing with elected officials in the back room."
"That's the reason we have disclosure laws," O'Hare said. "Incredibly, state senators still promote tax breaks for the wealthy while their wives collect checks from the very same people. If that's not a conflict, I'm a mainstream reporter."
I guess we're both pretty bad.

Bloggers have their impact, in spite of what those in the established, Lame Stream Media say.

I contend I can make the PAWLOWSKI PALACE of SPORT the most recognizable (read : NOTORIOUS) minor league ice hockey arena in the entire world.

The football blog brings them in from all across the globe --- the hockey blog will, too.

Shaibu!

Worse is a relative term. Gun to my head..lobbyist's are slightly higher than pond scum on the evolutionary ladder.
